How i configre yahoo mail a/c in my p1i phone,pop3 or smtp,or any other.please solve this.

Yahoo Mail offers standard POP3 access for receiving emails incoming through your Yahoo mailbox, by using your favorite email client software. To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings: Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465) Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995) POP Yahoo! Mail Plus email server settings Yahoo Plus Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995) Yahoo Plus Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465, use authentication)
IMPORTANT : Yahoo mail on outlook or cell phone is a paid service by yahoo.
2. Turn on your mobile phone and wait for the standby screen to appear. go to "Menu" button on your screen and select "Messages" from the menu, press "Select" to continue. 3. Go to the "Settings" menu and press "Select," choose the "Email" option. Select the "Email setup wizard," press the "Select" button and hit "Yes" to continue.
4. Choose an email account type you wish to configure, press "Next," choose the "Account" option, press "Name" and use your keypad to label your new email account.
5. Press the "Next" button to continue with the email setup. Enter your email address and password, press "OK" to continue.
6. Enter the incoming POP3/IMAP information pertaining to your particular email service and press "OK" to continue. Select the "Outgoing Server (SMTP" menu item) and enter in the appropriate SMTP address for your email provider and press "OK" to continue. 7. Hit the "Select" and wait for the "You have configured this email account successfully" dialog to appear.

Settings - E-mail

You'll need to complete all steps for this to work. Make sure that if you have to enter O2 in the settings you use the letter O and not a zero.

The following settings are if you use O2 Email as your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

If you require different settings eg Yahoo, Gmail etc please click here

1. Tap the Application tab on the bottom of the screen
2. Tap Email
3. Tap Next on the Welcome to Email setup screen
4. Tap on the Email address text box and enter your Email address then tap Done
5. Tap on the Password text box and enter your Password for your Email account then tap Done
6. Tap Next
7. Your phone will now try and download your setting to your phone and set up your account, if this can not be done you will see the message, Setup could not finish. Unable to open connection to server. Tap Edit details to continue.
8. Tap Manual setup
9. Tap the Username text box and enter your full Email address then tap Done
10. Tap POP3 account
11. Highlight POP3 server and tap the text box and enter mail.o2.co.uk
12. Check that Port is default set at 110
13. Highlight Next and tap
14. The phone will now check your settings
15. Tap the SMTP server text box and enter smtp.o2.co.uk
16. Highlight Next and tap
17. The phone will now check your settings
18. Tap Next on the Account options screen
19. You now have the options to add a name for your new account plus add your name to outgoing messages
20. Tap Done

Yahoo POP3 and SMTP Settings:

Find below the basic POP3 settings that you need to configure in the email program where you want to access Yahoo mails.

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop3.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 995)

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication)

Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com")

Email Address: Your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., [email protected])

Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password
Note that you also need to enable "Web & POP Access" on your Yahoo Mail account to send and receive Yahoo! Mail messages through any other email program.

Yahoo Plus uses a POP3 and SMTP server, Incoming mail (POP3) server: pop.mail.yahoo.com

Firstly you need to enable the POP3 settings in yahoo by going to the Options>Mail options>POP & Forwarding.
After that you need  Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) : pop.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing Mail : smtp.mail.yahoo.com

In Advanced Tab Outgoing mail Server (SMTP) : 465 (SSL)
Incoming mail (POP3) : 110 (SSL) OR  995 (SSL)
