go to control panel select add a device select add printer and follow the wizard installer instructions
if you have a cd for the printer driver ,insert it when requested
if you are replacing an existing printer the select make this the default printer
Replace the cartridges To replace the cartridges 1. Check power. Make sure printer is on 2. Load paper. 3. Remove cartridge. a. Open cartridge door. Wait for print carriage to move to center. b. Press down to release cartridge, then remove it from slot.
Sounds like the printer is trying but not able to connect with your computer the USB needs to be plugged in to your computer and the computer on.
If it is connected try a different port on your computer or you could have a damaged lead they are very sensitive.
Also try turning the printer of at the power point as printers have a stand by function that can only be turned of at the power supply.
