I have a HP Pavilion a6430f PC and I'm trying to add a second monitor. After a software update my computer will not recognize the second monitor. Do I need to purchase an upgrade to my current NVIDIA software? If so, which one?

Go to control Panel and look in the Display settings, you should be able to see your video card in number one monitor as well as in number 2. I hope this helped. Good luck and have a pleasant day!!!

MY HP Pavilion computer says that the HP PHotosmart C7280 printer needs new black ink cartridge, but the printer has already recognized the new HP cartridge as genuine and ok'd it. I downloaded all HP...

Take the printer cartridge out of the printer and turn it off. Then turn it back on again and check the status in the computer on the ink available in the cartridge. If the pc does not recognize that there is no cartridge in the printer when it is removed then uninstall the software, disconnect the usb cable from the pc to the printer and go to hp's website to reinstall a newer version of the software www.hp.com.

You can try to install Webcam driver. You've not mentioned your OS; i think you use Windows 7. But HP only support Vista. You can give a try to download and install Vista driver. In most cases it solves the problem.
Here is the links for Vista 64 bit Webcam driver:

Alternatively, you can solve the driver problem by installing HP Software Update

I'm doing a memory upgrade. i have four memory slots, 2 blue and 2 black. i have two, 2g dimms; for dual channel operation do i use the 2 blue slots or the first blue slot and the first black...

Try them in the same-colored slots, nearest the processor. It seems ASUS (who makes your mobo) has chosen to color code their slots so those of the same color enable dual-channel. If you can't tell from the BIOS detection, try CPU-Z to verify that the memory is in the correct slots for dual-channel operation. Putting one in the wrong slot should not damage anything. It would just make it so you can't take advantage of the extra speed.

HP Pavilion a6430f won't boot Vista Premium O/S

If you know how to update your computers BIOS here is a link to the most recent BIOS update, which in most cases would fix this problem, as there is a known issue with the outdated BIOS version for this MOBO.

However if you are not sure how to do this, or it is not a BIOS problem, we can try a couple other things as well... which one of them would be, is the driver for the graphics card, or graphics chipset on the mobo current or correct. If not you can check here...

My hp pavilion mx70 is running so slow

The issue can be caused by many many reasons such as outdated hardware, overload startup programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources, remnants of uninstalled applications etc. The fact is, you should keep some system maintenance job regularly. If you don't want to do these manually, try the solution: http://www.speeduphp.com/fix-slow-hp.html

Meanwhile, upgrading hardware configuration (add RAM, change a new video card, larger-volume HDD etc) can be a fast yet effective way to improve your pc performance. But that won't be the most economical way, as you know you can't always afford to do that.

No cable and no sound on speakers for flat screen monitor

Hello Tothelake45,
When you bought your computer, you might have received lot of cables along with it... so find out the cable that has the jacks on both the ends of the cable. The Jack looks like that shown below.
a9b0d44.jpg
So we are looking for a cable that has a jack at both the ends.. One jack goes into the soundcard of your computer (the green color coded port or the port where you normally connect your desktop speakers or headphones) and the other end goes to the similar connector on the monitor which is color coded as well (green color).
Please let me know if that works and please do not forget to rate the solution.

Thanks and Regards,
Srinivas
