Tappan stove model # mef352bfwa and serial # vf72904759 . When using oven F3 shows up on display and oven shuts off.

1. Test harness/connections P4 (EOC) and P11 (Surface Element Control Board). 2. If harness checks correct, failure can be caused by faulty UIB, Surface Element Control Board, or EOC. Check harness and connectors from the EOC to Mini Oven Control Board. Check for 15VDC to Mini Oven Control (red and gray wires). If harness and voltage are good replace Mini Oven Control. If fault returns replace EOC.

If this is an electric oven, most likely the oven bake element has burnt out.
the model and serial number should be behind the bottom drawer,
most elements are held in with (2) 1/4 inch socket hex head screws.

Remember to unplug stove or shut off breaker before servicing.
The element can be slid out usually, then unplugged or remove
the back cover behind stove and unplug it from the wiring harness.

f3 problem

if you got no display form clock assy ck the power lines leading to that control, unplug and relpug unit might have just glitched out, no clock no bake on this model all oven function run throughthis clock/control

My experience (Kenmore Ultra-bake Model 665-72002102) was that E1 F5 meant an error with the oven lock switch. In our case, the latch was partly stuck from food or other debris. Just moving the latch back and forth loosened the scale that was making it stick, and it worked again.
