June 1966.

4 Horsepower was published, but "later investigation proved that Horsepower stated was wildly inaccurate"

To Bill Boyd, the motor is a 4 stroke 4 horsepower outboard motor. Also what grade unleaded gas should I use?

I always use ethanol FREE gas.. 87 octane should be fine!!

Need gas and oil mixture for 25 cc ut 08083 blower

Two-cycle engines use a mixture of oil and fuel to power and lubricate the engine. Homelite blower engines use a ratio of 50 parts gasoline to 1 part two-cycle engine oil. Two-cycle engine oil is commonly sold in 2.6-ounce containers; add it to 1 gallon of gas to achieve the 50:1 ratio. Two-cycle engine oil for outboard motors is not compatible with Homelite blowers.Use premium fuel,the blower,weedeater,etc. will last much longer!

I need the type and info on my Mercury Classic 50 outboard motor

serial number is what you need and try looking on the starter or the switch box ( square box with lots of wires on as they have dates on also ) take pictures of engine in and outside as if decals are original it will date it as well ! take to or email your nearest dealer with all info and they date your engine no problem !

Hi have you tried it with the stop switchl/button disconnected, if so you have only got the stator under the flywheel left to replace, regards Phil.

This Homelite gas trimmer runs on a 50:1 mix of unleaded automobile gasoline and two-cycle engine oil. That is equivalent to 2.6 fluid ounces (80 ml.) of oil to one gallon of gasoline or 4 tsp. (20 ml.) of oil per quart of gas, or 2 tsp. (10 ml.) of oil per pint of gas. Don't use automotive motor oil or two-cycle outboard motor oil in your Homelite gas trimmer; they contain additives detrimental to trimmer performance. Use mixed fuel within 30 days.

Meyer marine in rochester ny, Was a original homelite dealer and there are more engines and parts for all kinds of homelites I have ever seen. Bob meyer is his name but most people calling ask for the homelite guy.

There used to be a place in up state New York(Finger Lakes area) Also look for Bearcat engines, they are supposed to be same.
