I cannot seem to get ANYONE connected with the eMachine PC, desktop, MODEL # ET 1831-05, including Best Buy where I purchased the PC, to help me find the free USERS MANUAL. I do not need technical support. I only need to find the site so that I can print the User's Manual. I keep running into brick walls. Did they take the manual off? I need to find out how to operate my CD player, That is all. No technical support is needed. I am an 80 year old female and I cannot afford to pay anyone to show me how to find a link to the User's Guide - Manual. I can figure out how to switch wireless on my emachine desk top its 2 years old purchased from cosco had ethernet now i moved and using wifi can connect to wifi does not show where i can choose my wireless...
If it's a desktop it may not have a wireless card installed on it. I would recommend going to the eMachines website and look up the model of your desktop to see the information on what was included in it. You may need to purchase a USB WiFi adapter to add wireless to the computer.

Emachines are the worst computer to have. They have more problems since they are manufactured so cheaply. My advice is to sell it and purchase a HP, Or a DELL.
When the power supply gets a spike it shorts out the Mother board instantly
Emachines do not beleive installing a fuse so that is why the mother board goes too

WiFi
It probably doesn't come with a wifi card, but you can purchase one from any computer electronics store like best buy. You can even have them install it. Once it is installed you can definately connect your E-machine to your Orange Livebox as long as it supports wifi.

Emachine solution
I don't see the previous post. Why do you need to replace your memory and mother board? How old is the emachine? Some of the P1 and PII systems had mother boards riveted in. If it is older than a P4 it would be best to replace the computer.

Most Monitors. Have A Seperate Power Cord.
They vary in shape and size. 2 pin 3pin et,c.
Have a good look at the back, and check. you should have a power connector socket inlet. And a cable out socket, to connect Monitor To Sound Card On The Back of the Desktop.
These can be located on the back underside of the monitor.
if in doubt search for your monitor make and model on the net, and try to get some instructions.
