My whirlpool oven is 17 years old but still good. We recently had a power cut and now the display shows 'stop' and I can't get it to go. It has two large knobs either side of a small button.

Hello Pam,
We are sorry for the frustrations you are experiencing. We recommend turning the circuit breaker off for at least a minute to reset the Oven. If that does not work please email us at [email protected] with your name, phone number, street address, zip code, model & serial number, date of purchase on the appliance and a brief description of the problem you are experiencing. Thank you.

Why my whirlpool GBD307 double oven top oven will not cut on, but the bottom one will. but after heating up, the oven starts blinking the start? button but it will not cut off, it shows a error code F

that's a bad touch panel or key panel, the number you sent isn't the full model number off of the oven so when you call to order the part you will need that.if you try to fix this yourself make sure the power is off.good luck

Hello, and sorry to read about your problem.
if you have tried to re-power the unit, and still have the same issue, you then have a general main board failure,
you may want to contact a service company. it takes experience to know which part is defective.

I tried to help you. Please help me and vote/rate my response thanks.

My whirpool oven display reads stop, how do i turn it off?

Hi
This "STOP" message appears when either the cooker has been switched off at the mains or there has been a power cut. What you have to do is a s follows:

1. The knob on the left should be turned anti-clockwise ONE click only.
2. Press the button between the two knobs (under the display) ONCE only. You will now have got rid of the word "STOP" and it will be replaced by _ _ . _ _ symbols.
3. Press the same button twice more or until "12.00" is shown. This is the 24hr clock and can the be adjusted up or down by turning the right hand knob clockwise or anti-clockwise. Its always recomended that you set the clock before useing the oven although you dont have to.
4. Now you can operate the oven as normal.....Good luck with that!

Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.

Electric Oven Won't Heat

Rob, sounds like it was just installed. You need 240V on this unit. On the terminal block in back where the power hooks up, it should read 240V across the two outer terminals and 120V from each end to center terminal. Im ruling out the thermal cut out because you never used it. I would start with the power source first. The display sounds like it's getting the 120V it needs to funtion, but I don't think your making the loop for the 240V needed for the bake and broil. Catriver.
