I have a Kenwood KDC-3024 car stereo.
The volume is stuck constantly at the highest volume, but the volume adjust buttons have no effect.
Can anyone help?

You can enter a 4-digit security code as an option after purchase of the unit. If you do so, make sure it is noted down somewhere. If you did select a code (or the previous owner has done so) this must be used when the unit is removed from the vehicle, or the constant power source is disconnected from the unit. When constant power is restored to the unit, the security code must be entered before the unit becomes operational.
If the code is lost or forgotten I am afraid the unit has to be re-coded by a Kenwood dealer.
Hope this helps,
Good luck with it.
However here is a link for a tip as posted by robotek, therefore all credit should go to him, Regards.

Hi there, For the manual for this unit head to this page http://www.cartoys.com/cartoy/pdfs/kdc-122s_manual.pdf]
However im pretty sure you actually use the volume or tune/seek to change the numbers then when changed to what you woudl liek again simply hit the main button you used to get into the clock setting originally, Hope this helps Cheers Steve
I would recommend running a four channel amplifier using component speakers up front and co-axial speakers in the rear. You can add more speakers up front, but it depends on what you're trying to accomplish in your car. Do you want it louder? Do you want it clearer? Any system will benefit from an amplifier. More power to your speakers will give you better sound because you'll have more accurate control over the speaker cone. This extra power will result in better clarity, not only at high volume, but low volume too.
Hi Caradio,
I found this on a forum and some people got it to work, If you do not have the remote I do not know any more about what to do for you.
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears). Then using your remote enter your code
