Sharp LC-37D6U Aquos audio problem

I've done some research on the web on product and it seems to be continuing issue. Any suggestion on how to fix this myself. On one of the blogs the individual indicated he was able to hook his setup to a surround sound system. If the audio board is out would that still work?

Your Aquos does not have a separate Audio board, audio circuits are mainly on main pcb. If the guy was able to fix the problem by hooking a surround to the audio out, that means that is a problem with speakers contacts or with one of the outputs.
Borrow a surround or use an amplified speakers set and check if you can fix it with this trick.
To do a real fix, a technician must open the tv, and test all audio connection, and onboard connection to audio outputs to see what is wrong.
If TV is going to work with a surround you will probably get a far better audio quality than the one you get now from TV speakers.

My sharp aquos tv LC-60LE632U has picture but no sound, What can be done?

Check the audio 'output select' under the Systems Settings menus. The output may be set to 'variable'. Set it to 'fixed' so that the audio runs through the speakers.

Can fix the audio problem myself or is there a place that willing to buy my Sharp LC-37D6U TV with no audio? I would prefer to make some off it than recycling it away.

Actually there is a service bulletin on this television. Sharp will repair the no sound problem for no charge. Call 800-237-4277. Please remember to provide feedback here if this helps you.

Sharp LC-37d6u audio problem

Have you tried the reset buttons on the back of the TV?
It should be right below your Cable IN port.

If that doesn't work, you may have to take it into a repair shop for the main unit board to be replaced. The part # is KD352
It's $99.59 at Shopjimmy.com
So, don't let the repairman rip you off.

Lc-37d6u intermittant audio issue

I'll tell you but it's not easy to do it. The heat sink radiator for the audio amplifier IC is touching the circuit board. You have to remove it and to replace the sillicon. The radiator is situated on the back of the AV board. You got to remove all boards to get this one.
Good luck.

Sharp LC 37 D6U

When you turn the tv on, do you hear a faint “pop” noise from the speaker? If so, the problem is with the heat sink under the audio IC. Over time, the heat sink will lose its consistency and start to melt, thus shorting out the audio circuit. To fix, you’d need to clean off the melted residue on both sides of the audio IC as well as replacing the heat sink with a newly redesigned Sharp Heat Insulation Pad. It’s a pretty complicated fix, I suggest calling your local authorized sharp service center to fix this problem. The part is inexpensive, so you’re most likely looking at a labor charge (maybe around $200ish) for the repair if they are not marking up the price too much.
