I have the Sony Atrac3plus MP3 Walkman which I have used (and loved) for about 2 years. Today it stopped working. When turned on, the CD spins and the Walkman logo appears on the screen, but the read head does not move and does not play the CD. I have tried changing the battery, but it still does not work. Please help. Thank you.

On your player there is a switch, usually on the bottom or inside the CD compartment. It will say "hold". You need to switch this in the opposite direction that it is currently in. Afterwards you should have no problems. This feature is designed to lock your player so that you don't accidently push buttons when your active.

I have a Walkman nwz-b135f how do I upload music to it?

You need to install the Sony software - "Sony Connect (SonicStage) 4.3" on your computer so you can put your mp3s on your Sony.You can't move your songs straight to you SOny player.You find theis software on a CD included in your Sony Walkman package.Goodluck.

My walkman has worked fine for over a year. Now today, when I turned it on, the sound comes and goes. I thought it was the headset cord at first but it isn't.

hi mine freezes too when i try to open my photos on the walkman. but mine did work using the reset button, you might want to return it if you have receipt, if not you still got 1 year warranty with sony.you can also try connecting the player to the computer to see if it turns on and charges. thanx

Format Error

I hade just that prob. "format error" used to display. I did this:
1. dwl sonicStage (free)
2.- in the walkman went to menu/initialize/format
then displayed a confirmation screen, I confirmed
it displayed "formating...... COMPLETE"
3.- THEN plugged into the PC and transfered songs with Sonic
and it worked!
