Hi, the E3 error means that the control board is detecting current going to the motor, but the motor won't turn properly. If the error code comes up all the time as soon as you press the power on button, then it means your control board is bad and reading incorrectly. If it only happens during a cycle, then you need a new motor unfortunately.
I also was getting E3 on my mah6700 and did replace the motor. I am still getting an E3 code yet it is spinning right now, finishing a cycle on medium speed. How do you get the front panel off of the machine to check the control board connections?
CHRIS, YOUR BEST BET IS TO PULL THE WASHER OUT AND ACCESS IT FROM THE REAR PANEL, TAKE OUT THE TWO SCREWS ON THE BACK/PLATE.

Hi
E3 is an overload error
and indicates that the washer motor is not running properly. You can take out
some clothes and then restart the cycle by pressing the START/PAUSE button.
After this, if the error appears again then check the motor connections, if
everything appears fine then the motor should be replaced. Hope this
helps...please post back for further assistance.
