try charging it. once you hook up the charger and plug it on the wall switch, it should turn on if it doesn't wait some seconds and turn it on. if that doesn't help remove the battery from the phone and put it back in, it should turn on and reset.

My wife and I both have Pearl's. I found that the problem on both of
them was caused by Color Pearl, an application that allows you to
change the color of the Pearl's trackball. It was not a problem until
upgrading the Blackberry software to v 4.5. I tried rebooting,
removing the battery, etc. The light always came back on after an
alert. Removing the application ColorPearl did the trick. Just go to Options>Advanced Options>Applications and delete ColorPearl. Hope this helps someone.
