The serial number on that evaporator will have the date code in it, the model will tell the capacity (size). It looks like it is a 4 and a half ton or 54,000 BTU coil and has a TXV valve to meter the refrigerant.

What size fan motor for trane xe 1200 high efficiency air condition model ttp042c100a3 serial number lo324x1ff mfr date 01/96 is needed for replacement

I would check the name plate of the unit, or pull it out to read the motor name plate.
A call to Trane is an option also.

Where do i find the expansion valve on a 3.5 ton trane air handler. Model no of the trane air handler is: 2TEC3F42C1000AA

The TXV (thermostatic expansion valve) is always at the end of the high pressure liquid line as it enters the evaporator. This is the small line. The outlet of the TXV will usually have 4, 6 or 8 smaller lines feeding proportional portions of the evaporator coil. You have to remove the cover of the evaporator to access it.

Some units do not use a TXV, so you may have a 'fixed restrictor' instead. It too is located where above described.

This model number is for 2.5 ton evaporator which should not have any blinking lights. If it is also hooked up to an American Standard or Trane furnace the continually blinking light means normal operation.

What is the age of the following Carrier RTU - Model # YCDO6OC460BF & Serial # R28105287D I have been told 1982, 2000 & 2007. The unit does not look that old, so do not believe it was a 1982,...

YCD060 is a Trane unit number not a carrier. Trane has a large guide for looking up approximate age of equipment. There is no date coded in the serial number, Trane does include a mfg date on most of the labels on later equipment, look for it on top or bottom corner of label if you can still read it otherwise I have the cuide at the office and will look it up this week. FYI our company is a TCS Trane dealer.

Hello i want to conect a trane condensator 2twb0036a1000ba to a trane evaporator mww536k10raa i need a wiring diagram

Your wiring concerns may be more with the thermostat wiring connections than the condensor connections. if you look inside the cover of the evaporator unit (usually called air handler) there should be a wiring diagram glued to the panel cover. This diagram will show all 3 units (stat, cndsr, airhndlr) and the wiring needed between them. Trane and Lennox are notorious for having the most wiring between components. You also need to be sure the stat is the correct type for the system (i assume this is a heat pump system) and there can be as many as 9 wires from stat to system and 6 wires from inside to outside units. Also, the stat will have a wiring diagram with it that shows most typical system wiring including the wiring between in and out units. Your best bet (if you have no diagram on the unit or with the stat) is to call trane and have their tech division fax a diagram to you. Goodluck,Macgivor

2002 TRANE XE 1000 AC - small leak

that is no longer considered a small leak. having to add freon every 5 years is a small leak. you have a massive leak and it needs to be repaired or replaced imediately. you could be charged for freon release by the epa. check the coils and every joint and valve for oil drops or seepage or actual air leaks. for something that bad, you could use soapy water (dish soap) on the joints. where it bubbles is your leak. do not use soapy water on the evaporator (cold) coil. regardless, you need it repaired or replaced and it turned off until you can do so. it's either pay the epa $32,500, or get a new ac.
