LCD TV starts spontaneous. I have removed the batteries of remote control and I have also other remote controls removed. Problem is still there. the control buttons on the sied of the tv doesnt work either ( the power button reacts like a channel up and down button. can you advise me please (Thomson 20LCDB03B) Thanks

Take batteries out of the remote control try to start manuely.if works a button on the remote might be stuck.

Remove the battery from the remote.Wait at least 30 minutes. ZReinstall the battery and start over. You will need to reprogram the remote.

Check to see that the remote control batteries are properly installed. They need to point in the direction indicated on the remote. Of course, the batteries need to be good! Perhaps the remote sensing eye on the TV is blocked. Be sure nothing is in front of the TV to block the sensing eye.

Change battery and see. Look for any jammed buttons on the remote and/or on the control panel of TV. If you have removed the plug, when the TV was in standby mode, sometimes the system controller could not have got time to reset. Try using the control panel buttons and see whether the TV responds. If not, switch it off manually, switch off power and remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

Installation
1. Insert Batteries into Remote Control
1) Remove the battery cover.
2) Insert two size AAA batteries corresponding to (+) and (-) marks on the battery
compartment.
3. Connect power cables
Connect the power cord to the LCD TV then to a proper AC outlet.
IMPORTANT: The power input voltage for TV is 120Vac, before beginning; make sure
all devices are turned off.
4. Turn Power On
Press the power button on the right side of the LCD TV, or press the power (Red) button
on the remote control.
5. Select input source for the LCD TV using the OSD menu or remote
control direct select buttons
6. If connecting to Antenna, Cable or other RF source on TV inputs:
scan and edit available channels.
7. If connecting to a PC(VGA):
For the best picture quality, set the timing of your computer to 1366 x 768 at 60Hz.
Refer to the graphic card's user guide of your computer to set this timing.

Try removing the batteries from the remote after you set the volume, just to determine if the remote is causing the problem or not. I have seen stuff spilled on remotes and they just go crazy.
