No computer drivers

Hello,

It all depends on which type of CD you are using to get the drivers from. The Acer FV recovery discs, are meant to run recovery only and not store any user accessible files. However, I can recall that one of these CD's is a CD with the name "Acer Power FV Resource CD" which should actually contain the driver for the sound.

At this stage I will assume your OS to be Windows XP SP3, your Audio driver will be Realtec High Definition Audio.

If you have used a Windows XP CD to format the desktop as you've said, you need other drivers as well not just sound. Let me know if you need more drivers and I will find the links for you.

Run the windows update again to win sp3.

Sp3 has most of the drivers in the dowload.IF not you should be able to install utilities after you get win xp sp3

it will lock up if you not using the correct driver try downloading a driver version that support sp3 go to thier website and browse for a driver the will work with sp3

reinstall audio drivers

You are using the Dell Resource CD provided by the manufacturer. This CD may not work with new versions of Internet Explorer that come with SP3 installations (if you reinstalled from a Windows XP CD not provided by Dell or if you did the Microsoft SP3 update).
You're only solution would be to use your "Service Tag" number underneath, for laptops (or on the back/side for Desktops), of your computer and go to http://support.dell.com to download the drivers for your specific system. If this computer doesn't have the drivers for you to be able to go to the internet, use a second computer and go to the site. Then download the individual drivers listed (the latest dated drivers will work best).
Once you've downloaded mainly the Video, Network, Audio drivers, use a USB Flash drive (sometimes called USB Key, USB pen drive, USB drive, etc) and copy what's been downloaded onto it. Do not double click on the files while they're on the second computer.
Once on the machine with Windows XP SP3, double click on each downloaded file (1 at a time) and follow the on-screen insctructions to install the driver. You should be fine afterwards. :) Let us know how it goes, and rate us. :)

You need to download all the drivers installer files from manufacturer website first, and also all the software you want to install automatically with Windows. Then you build a Windows Xp boot CD with all the software setup embedded.

hi..the drivers will depend upon ur computer's
configuration,u type ur model no of your system
in the net correctly,that will provide u with
suitable drivers for windows xp..

if cd is not auto run due to unmatching of driver
then manually open the cd that is browse cd
go to driverrs and install them manually,if still not installed then try to upgradew your driver by giving location of your cd
