The best way to clean a griddle caked with grease is to turn it on and let it get hot. Then turn it off and while still hot, use a non abrasive cleanser (aka Comet, Bon Ami) with a nylon scrubber to cut through the grease. If the griddle does not have a non stick surface, you can get "screens" to work the grease free. This is what is used on professional grills (usually on a nightly basis). If all else fails, most oven cleaners will do a nice job.

Won't pick up water from the clean water side

I couldn't view u'r clip but it seems if the pipe is blocked try to remove the blockage by using a hose where you spray hot water and normal dishwashing liquid, through the pipe, to unblock it. Just do not immerse the whole machine in water! Because I do not know what machine you have. Good luck my friend!

Best way to clean grout

I have used a solution of Baking soda and water....with a toothbrush but it only gets some of the dirt up.

The best thing to do is redo the grout and then SEAL it. The sealer seems to keep the grout looking like it's natural color for much longer.

My bathroom needs to be done right now and I was just starting to think about this.

I might try to do it myself first and if that small area doesn't go well then I might need to call my tile guy.

You should never clean the grout with a cleaner. That's what my tile guy said. Just water.

Chemicals turn the color quicker

When you clean they dyson dc15 filter, should it look white. mine has not been cleaned in a long time and is completely gray

Hi Sherie,

It's normal for the filter to become discoloured after a period of use - this won't effect performance, although if you did want to purchase a replacement, you can do so by visiting www.dyson.com and clicking 'Parts'.

In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months, as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for it to dry completely before replacing it.

If you have any further questions about using or maintaining your machine, please call us free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards,

Jack

I have a bissel pro heat 2x and it wont spray

I love these and have 2 of them! The warrantees are usually good and it is your pump if both the hand held and carpet positions won't spray water. Both the soap tank and water resevoir need to have at the very least water in both for the unit to work. Yes... You can use just hot water for light cleaning in both. The pump controls both the spraying water and suction. Last, if one or the other won't spray, the unit can have residue blockage. The passages are narrow, check to see if they are clean. Last test. Turn it on, release the handle. At the base of the neck there will be an oval shaped opening. With the handle on the floor as if filling the unit with water...put either your hand or a paper plate over the hole to see if there is suction. If the pump is good, you will feel a lot of suction against your hand or the flat surface of the plate.

I have a hoover steam vac F5915-900 I bought at walmart about 4 months ago. I used it about 5 times in differnet rooms. Today when I went to use it It won;t pick up the dirty water. I cleaned the filter...

Make sure the suction area of the face plate is clear of all debris. If anything else, call the number on the machine, it's still under warrantee if the machine doesn't work from normal use.

My Cuisinart Griddler Combo instructions tell you how to store the temperature control probe. I did not receive such with my griddler. Should there be one in the box?

Hello, W/D here.

Usually, the probe is built into the power cord, and is the long part that sticks out past the power connections. My best guess is that it is there.

Best regards, --W/D--

Vacuum smells

Hi,
My wife happens to have a rainbow that I picked up at an auction for $2.00.
When it begins to smell, we use a quarter cup of vinagar in with the water and use as usual.
You may not apprectiate the smell of vinagar, believe me, it works.
It may take a couple of vacuum sessions and changing of the vinager water each time, but one good thing about vinagar, it is an old time disinfectant.
