this problem can be caused by many different things, I would recommend you try the following:
1,
I would first uninstall the software and drivers for the stick and then
clean the computers registry using a program such as the free for 30
days tune up utilities available from
http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/
2, Download the latest drivers from AverMedias website instead of using the ones provided on the CD
3, Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, updates are available from the graphics card manufacturer.
4, Try the stick in a different USB port
5, Defrag your harddrive
If
after all this the stick does not work I would return it to the
manufacturer and ask for a replacement to rule out that it is the stick
and not your computer
if any of you wish to know what driver file to download (thats if youre not at a library, where its getting ridiculously difficult to get anything to download...assholes), run a program utility that can read all the ROM devices on your hardware. there are lots out there! :)
The driver fron Avermedia is OK , but software is'n working under XP. I've fixed this, by means of Intervideo Windv r6. gold Using windvr6 gold , my Avermedia m135-c card (Hybrid) is perfectly working (analogic and digital) As usually, Windvr fixes anything! Regards HD
