I have an LG air conditioner, Model LWHD800R. The power chord has an adaptor with two re-set buttons which plugs into the wall. Both of these re-set buttons no longer work. Without the re-set feature, I am unable to turn the unit on. Is there anyway to repair the power chord without having to replace the whole unit?

Just replace the cord. I am unfamiliar with your unit so you may need to buy a new cord form the manufacturer but there is no reason to replace the whole unit.

Its a pushbutton power button and it won't start when you push the button.

Check the wall plug fuse and the fusebox in case a circuit breaker has tripped if the power button does not light up. If it does it maybe that the power control card is faulty. See the link below for information about the possible rectification of that fault

My air conditioner just shut down like it has no power but the outlet has power. Is there a reset button or something? It's a Comfort Aire Model RAD-151-B

Many window units now have a GFCI plug. If the power cord, where it plugs into the wall, is huge, it should have a reset button on the face or side of the plug.

If not, then a power fuse on the control panel has blown, or the control panel has died.

AC unit LWHD 1800R won't turn on & test/reset does not respond.

Reverse the wires in the receptacle ,not the ground, this is most likely the problem the way the circuit is set up in the ac unit.Let me know if this helps.

My LG AC doesnt have power when u turned it on. Power plug-in is

You should start by checking the breakers for the unit ( both the inside and outside unit). Then look for any fuses that may be blown. There is also a force on button somewhere on the side of the indoor unit. After you make sure it has power use that button to try and start it and make sure everything runs. Let me know what you come up with.

Power cord not working

Try unpluggin the power cord and check with battery.
Check whether battery is charging with the power chord on.
Try with a different wall socket.
If this does not help.
Try with a different power chord of the same kind and check whether it works.
If yes, the power chord is the ussue. Best would be to replace it.
else
Try your power chord in a laptop similar kind and check whether the other laptop works fine.
Try juggling the power cord and check whether it gives supply. If yes then check for AC adapter for any damages or cuts. If any is found the contact manufacturer for replacement.
else Main board is the issue.
But before this I would request you to go to the website and check for Updated BIOS and updates for chipset driver.
If any is available then download and install.
Check with your AC adapter if it works, Good, else I would request you to contact the manufacturer for a Main board issue.
They would replace the main board if under warranty.

Air conditioner is flashing e1

hi..
1. Power down the air conditioner using the "power" button on the front
panel.
2. Unplug the air conditioner from the wall socket.
3. Hold the front panel "power" button down and plug the air
conditioner in. Continue to hold the power button down as the machine
goes through a brief test sequence (fan & compressor each come on
briefly, etc). There is a "beep" sound at the end of the test sequence,
and the machine will be off. At this point, you can release the power
button.
4. Unplug the air conditioner.
5. Plug the air conditioner back in.

My samsung ac wont turn on at all. according to the wall plug its getting power but when i press the buttons nothing happens, this just started a few days ago

Ok, for the, start if this is a box type aircon, electronic control and solid state thermostat. For the sake of reference.

The problem could be your power outlet lack the other line. Its should be two wire that is completing the power source. Check this first, maybe a troublesome outlet or power plug or the power chord.

Next could be the aircon unit itself, defective power section, or controller section. Blown fuse, lizard insect mouse are common cause. Also bloated or defective capacitor.

But if you are not inclined or do not have any background to electrical and aircon troubleshooting the much safer and practical way is to call an aircon technician. To do the checking for you.
