If this does not resolve the issue, please try to reseat the printhead cable.


Turn the printer off, and remove the rear. Check the cable at JMIRR1 for shield. proper connection to the controller board, the printhead cable for pinch points, and the cable

or connector for any other damage.

    Thank you. Although everything looked fine, I removed and reseated the cable connector rom its mount on the board. The system calibrated when I turned it back on and moved to the ready state. Thank you very much.

    Other points: 1. I wonder if a simple re-calibration step would have done the trick, 2. Removing the back means removing the six screws of the silver metal plate in the back, and 3. The JMIRR1 connector is small, about 1/4 in x 1/2 inch and is white. It's located at the top of the circuit board to the left of the ribbon cable at the top

    My C543dn printer is old but now still alive.
    I was getting the 106.08 service printhead error.
    Pulled the JMIRR1 connector and reseated it.
    Printer is now working.

109.08 Service printhead error

The black laser (printhead) might be faulty. Try powering off the printer and then remove the power from the wall outlet, leave the printer without power for around 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, plug the printer and power it on. If the issue persists, please the Lexmark Technical Support hotline for laser printers. You might need to replace the printhead or the controller board of your printer.

If it is a new printer call Lexmark, because this is a problem with the magenta printhead. To solve it you need to have some expertise on this printer.

Most of the time the problem can be resolved by reseating the printhead cable which can be accessed by opening the back cover of the printer. If that won't resolve the problem, I recommend to have it serviced. It's a possible defective printhead.

Reads 107.08 error

Try to reseat the printhead cable at the back of the printer. Here are the steps:
1.Turn Off the printer and unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
2. Open the back metal plate of the printer using a philips screw Driver.
3. Once the Metal plate is off from the printer, you will see a flat white cable or a ribbon cable at the top center of the printer circuit board. The cable is wrap with a black metal piece.
4. Unplug the cable using both hands and then put it back and make sure that it is properly seated.
5.Put the cover back into the printer, plug the printer into the wall and turn it ON. If the error still persist, replace the system board and the printhead assembly of the printer.

New printer does not work

if this is a neww printer take it back the printer has detected a problem with one of the printheads. you did not do this its an out of box failure and should be returned for replacement or refund

107.08 service printhead error message appears on screen - only installed printer 2 days ago.

Take the back panel off and reseat the ribbon cable in the top middle of the system board..Just got off the phone with tech support and it worked...
