I installed a new schlage dbl cyl deadbolt it works until I lock unlock the exterior side of the door then the interior side key turns to the point where it has to push the bolt to lock and it stops.

Since it is a new install and hasn't functioned properly ever, you probably have the bolt on backwards. Recheck all the parts against the assembly instructions

Keypads on Schlage locks

Answer from Schlage.
Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately if he had these locks on his business there is nothing we can do as far as repair. And unfortunately there are no dealers who have the parts available for repair. These are strictly residential keypads. I am sorry about this.

How to change baterry o schlage be365

To change the battery on the BE365, you need to remove the inside cover by removing the two screws (one above and one below the deadbolt knob). Be careful to tuck the wires inside the lock so that they will not be crimped when you put the cover back on.

Do you here a beep and see a flashing light? Usually if pressing the Schlage button unlocks the deadbolt, your installation was done improperly. The cam on the base plate must be vertical and the bolt must be correctly installed.

You will always be able to lock and unlock the deadbolt with the inside thumb knob.

I hope this helps.

Double cylinder deadbolt, bolt stuck in jam

You will have to remove cylinders from both sides of door, then stick a phillips screwdriver thru the bolt and push the screwdriver toward the hinge edge of the door.Might take a bit of pressure, depending on how hard its wedged into the jam, and you might break the bolt, but thats about the only way to get it out.try to determine why it got stuck before installing new one.

Schlage camelot key pad does not engage exterior locking knob when you press the schlage button. I have tried three different locks.

Here is a link to the installation instructions:

http://consumer.schlage.com/Project%20Documents/P515-858.pdf

It sounds like you may have the Turn Lock Feature disabled. View and scroll down in the instruction sheet to the Troubleshooting portion, where it says " Pressing (the) Schlage (button) does not rotate deadbolt" The solution is to push the PC button, then the Schlage button, then 7 to enable the turn lock feature.

I just installed last week with new included battery and twice since The push pad was non responsive. I play with it for a minute or so and then the number pad lights and sound comes back and door...

Assuming you've followed the installation directions accurately and do not have a mechanical bind within the lock or between the lock and strike plate (how does it operate when cycled with the door open?). Beyond that, I'd exchange the lock with a new one.

On this page you will find videos of how to install and how to program your lock:

I have spent over an hour looking for information on how to set a code for my Schlage BE365 CAM 619 keyless access deadbolt. I want a very SIMPLE explanation. Don't tell me to go to the Schlage web...

First make sure you have a fresh new battery installed
Next if you feel you have fiddled with it so much you can reset the lock to the factory default settings, to do this

1.Disconnect the Battery

2. Press and hold the Schlage Button while reconnecting the battery

However proceed before resulting to a reset and see if you are sucessful.

There are preprogrammed user codes already programmed into the unit
These two USER CODES (UC) are on the Yellow Sticker and on the Installation documents that came with the lock. Also the 6 Digit PROGRAMMING CODE (PC) is listed in the same location.

Assuming the lock was installed correctly and tested for correct operation.. proceed...

First.. I agree with you about the instructions.. many places they use the word "press" when they should have used the word "enter".. or phrase.. "enter the user code by pressing the corrosponding numbers".. however..

With the door open test the lock function
Press the Schlage button.. this should extend the bolt

Next Enter one of the two supplied preprogrammed user code (a) or (b) and rotate the thumbturn away from the door edge (generally to your left or counter clockwise) This should retract the bolt.

To Enter a New USER CODE (UC)

1.Enter the 6 Digit Programming Code (PC) via the key pad

2.The Schlage button will glow Orange

3.Press and release 1 on the keypad

4.Enter your new/desired 4 Digit USER CODE (UC) via the keypad

5.Enter the new/desired 4 Digit USER CODE (UC) via the keypad again (yes a second time)

The Schlage button should flash green.. signalling the program was sucessful

Repeat the lock function test using the new User Code (UC)
Make sure you write the new UC number down.

This lock will store up to 19 UC codes.

Good Luck!

How do I set the key pad to my on code on my schlage electronic keyless lock

How can I program my electronic keypad lock when the instructions with the programming code have been lost? The back plate of the keypad side of the lock on the exterior of the door has a sticker which includes the serial number, six digit programming code and two pre-programmed four digit user codes. The lock must be disassembled to a point the exterior of the lock can be pulled away from the door and the information on the sticker made note of.

This link will give you instructions for various models of Schlage locks, including the BE 365:

I have a Schlage double cylinder deadbolt on security door. If I try to lock/unlock from the inside, it works fine. From the outside, the key turns and turns but the bolt doesn't move. I am trying to...

there are 2 buttons on 1 on either side of inside key slot.. those must be removed... more than likely you will destroy them when removing..under you will find square drive screws or phillips..https://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/B62FFF.html
