My Nikon S230 says lens error when i turn it on. It trys to focus but then it closes again and says lens error on my lcd screen. What can i do?

Be sure to get a firm price before you commit to anything though. The fix can easily approach the price of a new camera, and repairs typically only carry a 30-day warranty.

my nikon coolpix s230 was dropped with the lens out and no it wont go in either. in the inside of the lens a piece of plastic was forced in front of the lens that takes the picture. The warrenty will return and exchange my camera. Good Luck with fixing you camera! Im glad im not the only person this happened to !
