Need to replace the halogen bulb in a Secura 798HD table top oven. Everything else seems to be working. If someone does these kind of repairs it would even be better.

it is possible to do it your self but if the oven has some years on it the cover for the bulb may be stuck from old burnt grease
to add to your problems is it a special bulb only available from the spares department of a service center as the glass for the bulb has to heat resistant to above 350 C so any old bulb will not do
you could get a service technician out to do the job if you have one close by

My hitachi 50v525e won't turn on I have sound but no pic I have blue flashing light and tv shuts off by itself...Do I need an input board or is it called a mother board?

I had that problem once. Read online somewhere to change the projector bulb and watched someone on YouTube do it. Straight forward and quite simple to do yourself. You can order the bulb in the metal cage it comes in and swap it out that way; never touching the bulb, but that's more costly. Even more costly if you bring in a TV tech to do it. The video I watched - the guy just got the bulb only and used the existing metal cage just unhooking the old one and putting in the new one. I ordered just the bulb itself off of Amazon for about $40 and did it myself the same way he did. If you do it this way just be sure not to touch the bulb surface with your hand as skin oils can cause the bulb to burn out much quicker. I used/wore a 10 cent pair of disposable latex gloves when I handled the bulb. The panel were the bulb is located is on the front of the TV, near the lower left side. Very simple to do. Just google/Youtube the model number and you should find videos on how to do it yourself.

Need to replace headlight bulb BUT being told whole assembly needs replacing at silly cost for a headlight ($1500)

WTF !!!!
Who told you this exactly?
All you need to do is replace the bulb at a cost of a few dollars......Job done!......
Do it yourself, it's quite easy.
If you have the HID bulbs, then they will be more expensive than ordinary filament bulbs but certainly nowhere near $1500.
I'm from the UK so I don't know the prices in the USA.

Screen is not as bright

Time for a replacement bulb.

If you feel ok replacing the the bulb yourself, they are available on the internet at a good cost.

If you don't, bring it into a service center near you. They normaly charge around $100-$200 to replace the bulb.

My stereio light dont work some times it will come on. I have a 2003 pontiac grand prix origanal equip

I had the same problem. There is a bulb inside the stereo itself. That bulb goes bad ~every 5-6 years. It costs ~$20. It is pretty simple to fix yourself. Here is the website where I got the bulb http://www.corvetteradios.com/corvetteradios_013.htm
I would assume you have the same problem.

You can determine it easily. If your radio is on, and you shine a light on the display, and you can see the numbers/text to what you are doing, then your bulb is burnt out.

Headlight - Xenon - on 2003 Saab 9.3. Is this something a handy owner can replace. Also the dealer wants $275.00 for the bulb. Is this really the price?

if that is for one bulb, that's crazy. you can get them much cheaper online. it's not difficult to replace the bulb yourself. the bulbs ususally cost roughly $117 USD each. If the dealer is suggesting they will change the bulbs for both, it's a deal to have them replaced for less than $250 USD. I won't lie, it's a pain in the ****.

Lamp Replacement on Sony Wega TV

Is your TV still under warranty? If it is, then you should send it back and let them fix it. If you do it yourself, you might void the warranty.

Broken bulb

Get yourself a cork from a bottle of wine (wait to drink the wine until after you've removed the bulb!). Now, with the power plug REMOVED from the wall socket, gently but firmly press the cork into the broken bulb. You should now be able to screw the broken bulb out of the socket. If there's not any bulb glass or shards or anything else for the cork to grip, you may need to insert a small pair of pliers into the socket, and with reverse pressure (i.e. pulling the handle apart as opposed to squeezing together) you may be able to remove the bulb. And if that doesn't work, well, keep trying. You just need to be creative. Try using needle nose pliers and grabbing the edge of the bulb socket and gently work to loosen (remember lefty loosy, righty tighty) turning counterclockwise to remove.
