I have been looking for a solution to this problem as well, but could not find anything on it. So I took the problem on itself and finally got the key board off.
Here are the steps to remove the keyboard:
1. Remove the five screws that are attached to the keyboard.
Two are underneath the battery and closer to the middle of the computer.
The Next two are near the battery and are close to the latch release for the battery.
The last is near the memory cover. It is NOT the one for the memory cover.
2. Once all screws are removed use a small blade to pop the keyboard up on the key side (I used a butter knife).
3. You should see a ribbon attaching the keyboard to the computer. Now what you need to do next is use you small blade or a small flat head screw driver to push a small brown bar away from the white chip that is attached to the computer. There is a spot on each side of the bar to push it they extend a bit farther then the other components. Now the bar should move about a centimeter or a couple of millimeters away from the chip, but not all the way off.
4. Now with the brown bar pushed up tug lightly on the ribbon until it detaches from the chip. Do NOT force the ribbon out if it does not move at all.
5. To attach the old or new keyboard use something to hold the brown bar away from the chip. Now push the ribbon into the hole in the chip. Once the ribbon is in all the way push the brown bar back down on the chip.
6. Put the keyboard back in place and reattach the screw and you should be done.
Hopefully this helps someone and if you are not comfortable working on your laptop it is always best to bring it to a professional.
You will have to open the laptop up by removing the screws and possibly the display aswell.
if you have no experience in fixing laptops i suggest leaving this to the local repair shop to be fixed. it requires time and patience.
in the mean time i will try and find a pdf document with step to step instructions
