TSP100 Thermal Printer work with a thermosensible paper, there is no ink to change, if the print quality is poor you have to

  • check the paper roller, it can be wrong installed.
  • Check the upper cover if not closed properly close it.
  • check the print head or the pressor roller.

A thermal printer does not use an ink cartridge.

It heats up special heat state changing paper, which when heated in a specific area makes the ink visible. The ink is located in the paper.

If your printer in not working then it may be because it is not getting hot.

Try solving this problem by reinstalling the drivers,
also try another roll of paper as the current roll have be un-reactive to the heat of the Thermal Printer,
however mostly this problem is caused by a faulty heat producing unit. Therefore it may need to go in for repair, claim warranty support if yo can.

Take care!

After changing ink cartridge incoming faxes won't print. Does something have to be reset?

Some machines recognize you changed the ink cartridge and some do not. If you shut it down and restart it, this usually helps it reset.

Keeping your printer working

I see so many problems people have with printers, and it's understandable. Printers work great, as long as nothing breaks or jams or the ink cartridges are maintained. To keep ink cartridges from drying up, you should print at least a page or two on a weekly or at least monthly basis. This keeps the ink from drying up on the print ports that supply the ink. Also, there is a heater on HP, Canon, and other printers that is inside the print cartridge. When the ink runs low, the heater element can burn up, and refilling it will not help, a new one will have to be purchased. Dust and dirt and particles can cause havok within a printer, causing sensors to stop working, rollers to stop grabbing the paper correctly, and other problems. Take your printer, occasionally, and, carefully holding it upside down, blow it out with compressed air. Be careful about the scan bed, it can easily break if it flips open too far. If you don't elect to hold it upside down, at least blow it out with compressed air as well as you can. This will minimize problems for you, and make your printer function much longer. Try to keep the printer closed up while not in use, to discourage dust and other things from falling into it. Too much debris, or especially liquid spills can render the printer useless and, at a minimum, expensive to repair. Anything that can jam the rollers, can strip a plastic gear in the roller assembly, and this requires service, and replacement of the gear. Since HP will only send parts to Authorized Dealers (as with other companies), that requires you to have HP fix it, unless you can find a 3rd party repair service.
To conclude, keep the printer clean and free of debris. Print occasionally, to keep the ink from drying up. When not in use, close the printer up, and you can also use printer covers, which used to be supplied years ago, but were discontinued (probably to aid in resales). You can sometimes find them still at certain stores, and used computer shops. Good luck, hope these tips help!

Printer is printing anothing. do i need cartridges(ink) voor this printer?

This printer doesn't use any cartridges or ink.Are You sure you put the paper tape on the right way? If You turn it upside-down, printer won't print anything, since it is thermal printer and uses thermal paper tape, which is "printable" only on one side. Also, check the position of the printer head arm.

Splotching and spotting ink

The roller cleaning will require you to remove cover to clean the full roller with alcohol to remove ink build up. Have you tried to just run/feed a blank piece of paper through to see if you have roller ink roll off?

This also sounds like a bad cartridge with clogged jets...

Hp officejet, pro k5400 printer, when printing i get lines top to bottom on print, about 1 inch apart, tryed print head cleaning, changed the cartridges .need help ,top to bottom, only on...

That is ink or dirt on the rollers, you need to clean them by lifting the lid, as if you were putting new ink in, and wipeing the rollers that the paper runs through.

Changed ink cartrigde and printer no longer printing.

microsoft logo is in colour and so its printing while everything else on test page is black so its not printing. the problem is common.you need to do automatic deep cleaning for the ink flow to start once you install new cartridges.go to printer maintanance option and click the option deep cleaning .it will pull out the ink in printer head and it will start working.sometimes also requires cleaning twice. thanks and do not forget to accept the solution.

Changing Ink in the Canon P170-DH Printing Desk Top Calculator?

The manual for the Canon P170-DH calculator is found on the canon usa web site. It is 22 mg in size, but prints out to 4 pages in English, Spanish and French.

According to the manual: Use only Ink Roller CP-13.
There are four figures showing the steps, so you'll have to imagine it.
1. Turn power switch off.
2. Remove the printer cover (Figure1).
3. Hold the tab of the ink roller. Lift the ink roller out of the base (Figure2).
4. Insert the new ink roller into position. Push down on the center of the ink roller until it locks into place (Figure3).
5. Replace the printer cover (Figure4).

Print out the manual for yourself and put it in a safe place.

Changing the ink cartridge in Epson Stylus CX4200

1. Make sure the unit is turned on, and not printing. The POWER light should be on, but not flashing.

2. Lower the OUTPUT tray, and lift the scanner portion to access the ink cartridges.

3. Press and release the INK button. The print heads will move to the left, and the cartridge that needs to be replaced will stop directly beneath the OUT OF INK symbol. Make a note of which cartridge requires replacement.

4. Press and release the INK button again. If more than one ink cartridge is empty, the next cartridge will move under the OUT OF INK symbol. If no other cartridges are out of ink, the print heads will now move to the REPLACEMENT POSITION.

5. Open the CARTRIDGE COVER. Pinch the front and back tabs of the empty cartridge as you lift it out of the unit. Dispose of this cartridge.

6. Before you remove the new cartridge from its package, shake it four or five times.

7. Remove the new cartridge from its package, and lower it into the cartridge holder. Push down gently until the cartridge clicks into place.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 for each cartridge that you need to replace. Close the CARTRIDGE COVER once all of the necessary ink cartridges are replaced.

9. Carefully lower the scanner, until it clicks into place

10. Press and release the INK button.

The ON light flashes and the printer makes noise. Charging takes about 30 seconds. When it's finished, the ON light stops flashing and stays on steady.
Caution: Never turn off the EPSON Stylus printer while the ON light is flashing, unless the Stylus printer hasn't moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes.
