Hi.

F3 means heating system problem.

Parts to be tested are thermostats, heater, wiring and main control module. Thermostats and heater are tested reading impedance on parts. Testing is done removing the part from the appliance and reading impedance with multimeter. The control module is tested reading voltages and checking the heater relay on control module. Heater and thermostats are located at the bottom side of the appliance, the control module is part of the door assembly. Testing must be done by a trained technician.

Regards.

F3 indicates a Heating System Defect.
Heater or relay on control board defect.
Also check cabling.

These machines are notorious for bad connections.

The control board can also suffer from corrupt software. The eprom can be reprogrammed with the right equipment.

Our whirlpool dishwasher ADP 7408 is displaying a F3 fault and wont work. What is the problem?

F3 error fault code
The heating cycle is not working. The error is indicated after several electronic checks are done over a 25 minute period. Therefore if the heater heats too slowly or the heater is open circuit or indeed the electronic control PCB is defective, each of these will indicate F3. The twist is, if the NTC is fluctuating in its reading it also can indicate F3 and not F1.

Error code F4

The F4 error code on your washer indicates a problem in the electrical circuits of the washer... and not end-user repairable.
This problem requires a technician to test the wiring circuits to diagnose the problem.
