This can only be resolved by having a service book sent to you. you will need to contact your service provider's Adavanced Tech dept. Let them know you've lost your address book icon and need the service book sent to your phone. they will be able to access the blackberry site and have the service book sent to your device.

How to put phone numbers on the blackberry 8120

you have 2 options. you can load them directly in your "address book" by going into your address book, menu button (bb icon left of trackball), select "New Address" and enter the info.
Option 2 , would be going into your address book, select "SIM phone book" and enter the info there.
Keep in mind, when you use the SIM phone book option, you can only enter their name and phone number, and after you are done, you have to import your SIM contacts to your address book.
Any contacts saved using the SIM option, will stay on your SIM card.
Any contacts using the Address Book option, will only remain on the phone, and not on your sim card.

Contact Number

Hi, You can import phone data from a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to the address book application on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Contacts in the address book can be saved to the SIM card individually. You cannot import data from the address book to the SIM card.
To import a single contact, complete the following steps:
1)On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book.
2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
3) Select the contact you want to import, then select Add to Address Book.
4) In the New Address screen, add any additional information.
Import all contacts, complete the following steps:
1) On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book.
2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
3) Display the menu and select Copy All To Address Book.
4) Go back to the Address Book and make sure all the entries are displayed.
After adding information to ddress book you can able to veiw contact list, I hope this information will be helpfull.

Lost icons

have you registered your blackberry on your carriers blackberry regestration site yet....if so, you will need to resend your "service books" and then turn off your device, take the battery out, put everything back together and everything should be there...if not hit your "menu" button (the one with the little dots beside your green call button) and select show all....your icons should then be there.

If your network carrier is att....go to this website (www.att.com/blackberrystart) to register your blackberry and send your service books to your phone. You will need your IMEI and PIN to register your device on this account..you can find them both by going to your "home screen" (where all your icons are at, select on the "settings" icon, then "options" icon, then go to "status" and then scroll down to your IMEI and PIN.

Good luck hope this helps

Contacts

From the ADDRESS BOOK icon, press the trackwheel for the drop down menu.
Select SIM CARD Phone Book.
Load those contacts if they are not saved onto your BB memory (sim memory and BB memory are different)

Once you load them, then press trackwheel to get the drop down menu again, and COPY ALL From SIM to your BB memory.

TADA, now they will be in your ADDRESS BOOK icon from now forward.
