Hi,

Prepare Patties

1. Put minced scallions and chopped mushrooms in bowl.
2. Add red wine vinegar.
3. Add ground beef to bowl.
4. Mix everything together with your hands.
5. Flatten the beef into four patties that are 1/2-inch thick and 5 inches in diameter.

Cook Patties

1. Set stove-top grill or burner to medium-high.
2. Preheat nonstick frying pan. The pan is the correct temperature when a drop of water dances on its surface rather than sticking to it.
3. Place patties in the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Flip patties and cook for another minute, and then add sliced cheese to the tops of patties if desired.
5. Cover pan and allow burgers to cook for a final 2 minutes. Cook 3 to 4 minutes for well-done burgers.
6. Remove hamburgers from pan and place in hamburger buns.
7. Add condiments and toppings such as ketchup, mustard, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, red onions and pickles.

How long to cook chicken sausage on the George foreman

this depends on how thick the sausages are. For sausages that are about 1 - 1 1/2 inches thick it will take about 10-15 minutes. the best way to tell if a sausage is done (chicken or pork) is to insert a meat thermometer into the end of the sausage about 3 inches deep. When the meat is done it will read 160 deg F.

No instructions with Paderno pizza stone!!!!

Nothing to it. Just pre-heat the stone for 15-20 minutes at 425-450 degrees. Slide your prepared pizza onto the stone and cook. ps best to prepare your pizza on a pizza peel or cookie sheet so you can slide it on to the stone. Cook around 10 minutes or so. Good luck and enjoy your pizza.

My slow cooker doesn't heat enough. My recipes say to cook on low... but after 10 hours the vegetables are not cooked. Is there a problem with this model? Thanks

Most slow cookers have several settings ... maybe yours is one ... I suggest you select a higher setting.

Thanks for visiting today.

How much water for 3 cups of rice?

Between 4.5 and 6 cups of water. If you like firmer rice use a ratio of 1.5 to 1 water to rice, if you like it softer use about 2 cups of water per cup of rice.

Here's a good tip for cooking fluffy rice without sticking to the pan:

Our emerson MW899SB just stopped working all of a sudden. The clock is ticking down, little cooking light still flashing, but there is no cooking power...any suggestions?

Yes, it's now junk unless it's still under warranty. The Magnetron has most likely gone out.

I purchased a Sears Counter Craft Crock Watcher crock pot at an Estate Sale, but there is no instruction booklet. It has low, high, and auto shift on the dial. Can you help provide some instructions for...

From a couple of different slow cooker manuals - most I looked at are the same:

When in the AUTO setting, the slow cooker will begin cooking on HIGH and then will shift to LOW after approximately 2 hours of cooking time. AUTO setting does not turn off the unit. Other favorite recipes may be adapted to the slow cooker. All times listed in the following chart are approximate and should serve only as cooking guidelines.

Regular Cooking Slow Cooker Cooking Times

1 (Low) 2 (High) AUTO

30 minutes 6-8 hrs. 3-4 hrs. 5-7 hrs.

35-60 minutes 8-10 hrs. 5-6 hrs. 6-8 hrs.
1-3 hours 10-12 hrs. 7-8 hrs. 8-10 hrs.
