Still looking for a solution to the Error 1305. I've tried all the suggestions I've found and nothing has worked. It's pretty bad to have a piece of software for months that you can't use.

Tried hitting Retry till I'm blue, no help.
Changed the colors to 16 as was suggested, no help.
Turned off UAC Control, restarted in Safe Mode, as suggested by the Punch software Tech Support, no help there either.
Tried to copy CD contents to hard drive but the read failed.

I think we're down to guessing now. So does anyone have other ideas, suggestions, or guesses. Any would be appreciated.

Copy all the files on the install disc to a hard drive and install the program from a hard drive. It worked for me.

Bought Punch Home & Landscape Design Premium at Best Buy. Cannot load software from disk. Comes up with error 1305 cannot read tool7501.mp4 verify that file exists and you can access it?????

I had the same problem. I copied the files from the disk onto an external hard drive. Double-clicked the setup file that I copied and installed the program from my external hard drive rather than my cd drive. It works great! Recommend copying ALL files to a hard drive and installing that way.

I keep getting an error code when trying to install my software on my computer Error 1305.Error reading from the file C:\Program Files(x86)Punch! Home and Land Premium 16\Tutorials\tool7513\tool7513.mp4....

you have a missing mp4 file! this is a video file. just do a search on your computer for all "*.mp4" files with this same name and when found copy/paste into the location in your missing file message.

Hi this is peter i have a problem hat i nt figer out. trying to install Punch Home and Land Premium i get this-- Error 1305.Error reading From file C: Program Files\Punch! Home and Land Premium\ tool...

Hello peter4927,

An, "Error 1305" message mean that; your computer is unable to read the "Program Disc" properly.

This error can occur if your CD or DVD is damaged, dirty, or caused by dust.

This can happen, if another program is "preventing your computer from reading the "Program!"
You will also receive this error if the "Disc Drive" is damaged or dirty.
Try cleaning the "Disc" first!
"Use a Disc Cleaner, to clean the CD-ROM / DVD Drive.
Place the "Program Disc in the Disk Drive; then "Restart the Computer!"
This will have the CD, or DVD start-up {Automatically}.
Next, you can try to start the "Disc" by using the "Auto-Run."
To do so; place the 'Disc' in the "Disc Drive Tray."
Next, [right click] on the "Computer Icon" to open the 'computer window'.
Now, right click, on the Disc Drive, and select the either, "Open, Explore or {Auto-run}.
Hopefully it will start.
Repeat each action if necessary!

"Best Regards"

P!3DHome has stopped working

I encountered the same problem. In my case, the Punch! Landscape file saved into a folder on my C: drive called Program Files (x86). I dragged the entire folder for Punch! Landscape from the Program Files (x86) folder into the Program Files folder. I've had this same problem with games I've downloaded from MSN in the past, and this fix has always worked.

Error message 1305

Microsoft has error 1305 as an "error reading from file." Check out http://support.microsoft.com/kb/248263 And try there troubleshooting, it could be that the disc is scratched or dirty, the drive could be bad, or it may be incomp[atable with the current operating system. The above link is your best first attempt at solving the problem.

good luck, hope this helps.
