Hobart mixer I have to write a class paper on how to use, care for and clean a hobart mixer, due on Thursday, March 13, 2008. it's been a long time since I've use one. I'm in a classroom teaching and need a brush up/crash course to get me going. My email is [email protected]

HELO I recently purchase a 460V H600T hobart mixer 2.5 AMP/ 3 PHASE but unfortunatly our bakery only provides 110V or 220V what are my option??
The machine can be internally rewired for 220 3 phase. Call your local Hobart office and have them come out and take care of it.

Drive it out with a punch and hammer. It's best to take the planetary off the machine so you can support the shaft. If not it puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the bearings and other parts.

I just picked up a used Hobart N-50 Mixer. Serial number is 99-700-835. It came with a whip and paddle, but the whip I had to use brute force to get off, the paddle slides on and off the shaft easily. I...
Before doing anything else, make sure the hole in the whisk is perfectly clean by taking a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol and removing any remaining residue. It does not take very much residue to make fitting difficult.

If that does not work, the hole can carefully be enlarged using a round file or sandpaper wrapped around a pencil. Do this a little bit at a time and test fitting. You will want to do the minimum necessary to get the whisk to fit.

Mixer just hums, does not turn
has the armature worn down so the insulation is higher than the copper plate which the brushes run on,if so trim down to below plates

How to change oil in 20 quart hobart mixer and the type of oil
on a a200 there is no oil. this mixer requiers grease. if mixer is leaking oil it is because the grease is broken down .you have to pull tpo cover off mixer remove trans. parts clean out old grease clean all trans. parts reassemble put top cover back on .then make sure mixer runs in all 3-speeds before putting 1.5 cans of -47grease back in grease can be bought @any hobart office

Where can I get a manuel for my hobart D-340 mixer?
What kind of manual do you need. The service manuals are only given to Hobart technicians while they are attending training classes for that paticular piece of equip. I have a parts manual w/ exploded views if needed. A operators manual/guide can be downloaded from Hobarts website. You will need Model, Serial & ML # or spec #.

To Whom it May Concer: At the school I work we have a Hobart D-300 Mixer. When we mix bread dough it pulls alot of current and trips the breaker. The max current draw on the name plate is 10.1 amps. I...
7.8 sounds a little high. I'd inspect the GREASE in the unit. Just take off the top cover and then remove the dust cap. The grease in a D-300 is a really thin grease. It lays in the gear case. If things look dry, I'd consider tearing it down, cleaning it up, and repacking it. Get the grease from Hobart. The wrong grease will stress the motor futher.

Mixer slipping in all 3 speeds, any recommendations for clutch adjustments? Plantery gear never stops under load just slips, so I dont think its a sheared key, or worn gear. From what I have read online its the clutch is most likey out of adjustment
