You should be able to reset the auto Exposure. My finepix is a different model but it has a button to lock the auto exposure. Can you see enough to go to the menu if you need to reset your defaults there?

You need to do this with all new cards. Go into the menu and find either "format" or "initialize" and follow the on-screen instructions. This erases the card and prepares it for the camera's operating system.
Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
try pressing the f button next to the LCD then going to the second option down -that is where you can change your ISO -and either increace your ISO when there is less light, or set your ISO on auto, and have the rest of the camera on auto too
I looked at the manuel closely and fluked it.The white line with red dorders is for focos trouble, I will endeavour to fix this now that the camera is in English. THANKS for checking
