Trying to connect my windows xp desktop/pc with my hp deskjet 940c printer but lost my cd to install can i download a drive from the net

First load the cd software into your PC. The once you follow all the directions in the set up/run , you must connect the prrinter.
This will be now detected and installed- the new hardware.
Your printer is now ready. Make a test print.

After opening the link, select your operating system (win xp/vista,etc). After downloading the driver on to your computer, run the setup and install it. After installation is complete restart your computer.

Find another computer (laptop?) that is running Windows XP or Vista. Install the HP device-drivers.
Connect the printer to that other computer, and use the software to display the ink-levels.

Hp is very good for being able to download drivers to their products. Go to www.hp.com and to support and then drivers and select your make and model to download thr drivers for it.

I've found your product on hp's website. This is the link you need to install your software. Make sure to choose "Windows Vista" or "Windows XP" after clicking the link.

Thanks. Without finding Toolbox ( to Clean/Align my printer) I went to Control>Printer>Cick on my printer>Properties>Services>Clean or Align

Interesting that FixYa manages to intervene when I was trying originally to get to HP !!
