Question about RCA RTD155 System

Well, I have a RCA RTD155 surround sound system. When I bought it, it didnt come with a remote. I have used plenty of universal remotes and I can't get any of them to control the volume. The remotes turn it on and off and also switch to aux 1 and aux 2 from dvd. So the only problem is really the volume. I dont know what to do. I really need help. =/

Replacment remote should work out the box. You may be best using a universal remote

I lost original RCA RTD155 remote and want to know where to get one,or can I use a universal one

I would recommend getting a Logitech Harmony remote. The benefit of this universal remote is that you can program macros to start all of your devices in whatever order you want them to turn on so you can have programs like "Watch DVD or Watch TV", the remote will switch your TV to the appropriate input and output channels.

 

The other good thing about this remote is that you can program buttons specific to your device. You simply plug this into your computer and type in your model number and it loads all of the codes automatically. The RTD155 is supported by the Harmony series.

Code for Yamaha YAS 71 Surround Sound System
If you can get a new remote either buy a new one from Yamaha or do like I did (I still have my Yamaha remote) for 29.99 Radio Shack sells a Auvio Universal remote and all you have to do is use the "learn" function......operates all my stuff including my YAS-71!!! great remote!!!

I NEED A REMOTE CONTROL FOR MY EA-506 SURROUND SOUND RECEIVER
Many surround sound systems don't work with universal remotes. They require factory remotes. I could not find any codes either.
Contact the manufacture of the surround sound receiver, go onto there website and use the contact link. Write them asking for a new remote and they will let you know how much a replacment cost.

IR sensor problem RCA T25208
You need the proper CODE associated with the Remote.
When doing a set up of the remote, the device (TV I assume) should allow you to put in a code number for that device. It should be listed on the insert manual that came with the hand held remote. Could be in the last few pages.

RC64 remote will not work with my RCA surround sound RT2580
I hate to say it's unlikely that a "Universal" remote from DirectTV has compatibility with every system and manufacturer. However, my directTV model remote (and there are numerous ones) has a search function with which you don't need to enter a code... it finds one for you. If the control documentation doesn't mention such an option (Code Find), then I'd say your SOL. I'd recommend a Universal Remote made for no specific purpose but to be a UR... using a system included UR never comes off very well.

The question should be marked as solved because the one ANSWERABLE question, about the DVD being recorded, is NO, unless it is a home movie. Not only is it illegal, but also VERY difficult to do. and your equip is not cabable. Thanks!
