The panel on the VW jetta wont rurn on nor the radio works. I disconnected the battery for a while and now it does not work. Please Help.
Fuse number 42 is for the radio reset. Pull it out and put it back in. It's a warranty problem, expired now no doubt.
Usually if power is disconnected from the radio it will think it has been stolen. If you checked the fuses and they are all good, try removing the radio and reinstalling it. You will have to buy a radio removal tool for around $10. When you reinstall the radio it should ask for the security code. You can find the code on a small card in your owners manual. If you do not have the card you will have to get it from Volkswagen first. Thats the best that I can come up with. If that doesn't solve the problem you might have to go to the dealership.
Take out fuse 10 or 12 i think for about 15 secs and put it back in, i think one of those are the right one i had the same prob
Did you try changes the fuses that should correct the problem
