Like a buzzing noise? Check valve where water lines connect at back will make a buzzing noise, if you only hear it when running hot water and not when running cold. Remove and replace it after shutting water off, and draining tank down. Be sure to shut off any hydro to electric element prior to draining. You can buy a replacement check valve, or just put a short 1/2" pipe nipple in there instead and reconnect your line, and refill it. noise should be gone .

Thanks a heap. That's exactly what the problem was and a new check valve is being replaced. I visited several rv repair/dealers and no'one came up with the right solution. Thanks again.

No hot water coming out of tap but we do have cold water out of cold water tap...any suggestions??

Check your by-pass valve(s) at back of water heater. Water goes in cold to bottom fitting, and out hot at top fitting, so those 2 valves ( if any) need to be open, anything in between needs to be closed. There are a few different by-pass set-ups, so if that doesn't explain it, get back to me with a description of your valve set-up and I'll guide you through it. If valve(s) are all in proper position and still no flow through hot line, I'd suspect faulty check valve in between hot line connection and tank.

Hot water noise when tap is turned on louder when full on at tap. Atwood MOdel GC104A

Noise in pipe means vibration.
Pipes vibrate when water turns corner, or if there is a clog somewhere in the line, or if there is air in the line.
Water heaters make noise when sediment builds up inside of tank.
I would probably try to track location of noise, and then put that spot on top of suspect list. For example if sink has shut-off, and noise seems loudest there.

Our atwood heater is firing up ok and running for a good while then turning itself off but we dont get any hot water out of the hot taps. Our water pump is working ok but we have this funny tap within the...

Cold goes in bottom fitting of water heater, so that valve has to be open, and hot comes out the top, so that has to be open, if there is one there, but any valve in between needs to be closed. There are a few variations so if you can explain where your valves are located in the system more precisely, I can help better. Perhaps you can send a digital picture with reply?

I have a 1994 pop up with an Atwood water heater. I hear the water heater turn on when plugged in but no hot water.

Have you checked your by-pass at rear of water heater to make sure it's in proper position? If it's still in bypass, you will only get cold water from either tap. Cold water goes in bottom, and hot comes out top. Any valves in between those 2 lines need to be off. Let me know what you find, as they use a few different ways to do the by-pass.
