It does not have a "reset" button, but you can restore it to factory settings. Here is how:

-Turn the camera on

-Press the "home" button and select the "settings" tab.

-Go to Main settings 1 and choose "initialize" then choose OK.

Reset factory setting

Although Nikon cameras can be set back to the factory settings in several steps, I can't find anything in the Canon manuals, that says how to reset the camera or to put it back in the factory settings.
Perhaps you did change the firmware once. Most of the time there is a descriptions, how to do that and what to do if things go wrong. This could be something to reset the camera.

Reset to factory settings - what does 'reset file no' mean?

"Reset file No." is the reset for the numbering system on your file folders only. You want to use just "Reset" which will reset the entire camera back to factory settings.
