I'm sorry to tell you this but if it's not working it most likely won't. There are a lot of moving parts in a hard drive. If one breaks the unit will not work properly. If there is must have data on it bring it to a qualified computer repair place. The might be able to fix/save it. Good luck.

Model 106.74052400 is not cold don't sound like

Are you talking about the interior fan unit?
If so, with it turned on try giving it a light tap with something hard.
If it turns on, then the fan motor is worn and requires replacement.
If it doesn't kick in, then check the power to the fan.
If you don't have power, then check the blower control switch.

Laptop wont start.

Remove the battery and unplug the power cord for 5 minutes, put in the either the battery or the powercord and power on.

if it doesn't power on, make sure the charging light is lit on the front of the laptop when the power adapter is inserted and plugged in properly.

light blinking when you power on means battery low / no power.

If the problem doesn't go away you need to contact acer for warranty service if you are outside warranty contact a local repairer.

Hi i have an r630 desktop and it did work but now i have no power to motherboard no fans cpu but i do have power to the hard drives and rom replaced power supply same problem

Maybe your motherboard is toast.

When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.

Power not coming on

Power does not come on for the following reason, THE POWER SUPPLY is bad. Unplug the power cord, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and hit the power button. If you see no lights, hear no fans running, don't hear the disk drive running, don't hear the cd drive click once and don't see the light on the cd drive come on for a second or two while it clicks, then you are getting no power and need to replace the power supply.

Compaq CQ4010F Desktop PC won't turn on after a power surge

You probably and lets hope so, have an Electro Static Charge Buildup on your desktop. Remove the Power Cord and Press and Hold the Power Button for 30 seconds. After 30 Seconds plug the Power Cord back in the hit the Power Button. If it boots then you had an Static Charge Buildup. If it does not boot and you say it happened after a power surge then either your Power Supply or Motherboard is possibly damaged. Do you hear fans, hear the disk drive running, see lights, hear the CD Rom click once and see the light on the CD Rom drive com on briefly after you hit the Power Button. If so it would seem that your power supply is ok.

My Dell Optiplex gx260 Pentium 4 Flat CPU doesn't Display anything, and Power light is Orange.. Please help me out

You say the power light is orange--I'm assuming that you mean the monitor.
This indicates the monitor is not receiving a signal from the computer.
Assuming that the computer actually powers up (fan runs, you can hear the hard drive being accessed, etc) then your problem lies in the video card.

If, on startup, you do see the BIOS info and maybe even the Windows splash screen before your monitor goes dark, then the problem lies in the video card drivers. In this case, starting in safe mode will work and allow you to download and install new drivers.

My friend karen press the power button, thre is no power... there blinking lights on the back of the computer near the fan power ...

Do you hear the harddrive start up? When you push the power button (or switch on the back) do the lights go out? If you hear fan running and hard drive start up then the computer itself might be on but the monitor isn't. Check the power to the monitor, the connection between monitor and computer to make sure they are all on and connected.

If you don' t hear the fan running then you have other problems. Any blinking lights would indicate something is getting power. I'm assuming the computer was working before the power button was pushed... If the monitor is actually working, you could hook up another monitor to check too then you have other problems but need more info to know what that could be.

would need to know the answer to the above questions as well as if it was working before, what was done, what changed between it working and this problem. Also what age the machine etc.
