Adding freon to a car requires connecting the low-side service valve first, followed by the high side, recovering the existing freon, evacuating the system of air and recharging the system with new freon.
You can use R-134a refrigerant for 1998 Ford Explorer. You can get all parts necessary for Ford Explorer at one place at http://www.carpartswarehouse.com/carparts/Ford/A-C_Condenser.html

Wanted to know what type of freon a 1998 ford taurus uses, and i also wanted to the amonut need if the air blowing out is warm..

You will need a repair shop for A/C work

If you have to add you obviously have a leak

All refrigerant has to be recovered, leaks repaired,
vacuum pulled, you can not do that, and charged,
you can not do that.

You have no way to measure the amount of
refrigerant to add

That fact you do not know the kind to use, is
enough to not get involved

I need a diagram on how to put freon in a 2006 ford focus

The answer is simple. DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER.
You must be a federally or state licensed a/c person to add freon to any a/c unit. Even the qualified people can not put fluid in unless they can sign off the the unit does not leak. SORRY

2002 Ford Explorer Sport, diagram to add freon

there is a port and it takes r123a and it has a green port on it but if it's leaked out you mave have to have it vachumed out, if you charge it be sure to get R134a with oil so that you don't burn up the pump, when the thing leaks it loses oil.

1998 ford explorer a/c and heater wont work

You lost the Freon again, because you probably only fill up Freon last winter, you didn’t check the leak and fix it,

You have to check the AC belt, compressor, AC clutch, condenser ( see the small glass window to find out if there is some bubbling, if your Ac has bubbling, you need fill up Freon.
