First of all here is the support site for your phone:

http://mb.softbank.jp/en/products/samsung/821sc.html

you may need to unlock the phone for your area. You may need to the software update. Contact Softbank support for assistance. They will be able to walk you through troubleshooting procedure to fix the phones issues.

Hi,

You can go to greenhilss shopping center in San Juan , Metro Manila . There are many service center there that fixes cellphones . They can configure your phone "open line" so that you will be able to use your globe sim card.

Thank you

Im rod i bought a samsung 821SC here in japan how do i openline it so i can use it in the philippines too it uses a usim card and its a 3G cellphone

Hi,from your question i think you need the unlock code for your phone.

There are two solutions to your problem,

1.You will call the service provider's customer care that sold the phone(3G) and request for the unlock code, which will be given to you for free, although you will be asked some questions, don't be bothered.

2.you can visit any of these sites;www.unlock-free.com or www.codeunlock.com.where you can be directed to pay a token to get it unlocked.

Take care

Softbank 911T

Even if the phone is unlocked it might not work on the Philippines network. The Japanese Softbank 911T is manufactured by Toshiba and uses 3G WCDMA 2100MHz. China uses 3G TD-SCDMA. China Unicom is going WCDMA as well soon. Enquire at your service provider, if it can be made to work, they will do it. I don't really know about the Philippines. Great phone though.
