Question about Samsung HLN4365W 43" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

The tv will not turn on. the lights in the front flash on, it makes the turning on noise, and i can hear the fans moving. But the picture never shows

Hi,
TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp.The lamp you need is XL2100 you can find it here http://www.discount-merchant.com/Sony-XL-2100U-TV-Lamp-p/sony_xl-2100u_replacement_lamp.htm?Click=48173 .Have a blessed one!

No picture, siren type noise as restarting

My Toshiba dlp 62hm116 was used for 3 months then stored for 2 years, I turned it on yesterday and it makes a loud grinding noise which I think is probably from the exhaust fan area and the picture is black except white at both vertical sides. It worked fine the last time I used it 2 years ago. Any ideas?

The lamp is the only thing that will cause the picture to go darker. According to the model you have the lamp part number is BP96-01472A. The noise you hear could possibly be the color wheel itself. The way to tell is when you turn off the TV the lamp stays on for about 10 seconds longer. Once the lamp shuts off if that noise goes away then it is a bad color wheel. Turns on and off then back on then off

Discovered bulb had blown out.
At power on button, red light and green light flashed and no picture was present. I opened side panel after unplugging tv and let the bulb housing cool, then removed the bulb and discovered it had blown. Luckily I had a replacement bulb from the purchase, replaced it and it worked again.

TV makes humming noise, lamp light is blinking, does not turn on

Your color wheel needs to be changed. Mine just did the same thing. I changed mine, and the buzzing sound went away, however now my picture washes out with light or yellow colors. The darks look green and purple also.

Did you touch the Lamp? If you did it may have blown. the color wheel may be the problem or yes the balist
