There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safest way.unlock using software delete some information in memory i unlock my phone using codes ,http://www.superunlockcodes.com/htc/rs12wp8/ you can unlock your phone here I used codes to unlock my cell phone. i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked. you need to specify the country and network provider
If the phone is currently locked then there should be a button that when you hit it, it will ask for an unlock code. If the phone has been programmed, it should just be the last four digits of your cell phone number.
Take the phone into verizon - something is wrong with it - Or you didn't mention that your husband's phone isn't' verizon and you don't get a verizon reception in your location.

If you're with Verizon, you can simply dial *228, and choose option 1 when prompted. If *228 does not work, contact Verizon Wireless Customer Service from a different phone besides your cell phone at (800) 922-0204 and they can assist you with manually programming your handset.
