They say MUSIC or AUDIO on them. It's in the manual.

How do record a cd when i hit the record button or bun button it say no audio

It means the disc is not for recording Digital Audio. It would say so right on it. You can't use data CD-R's for recording. The manual explains it.

Like any other recording device it has IN's and OUTs, but in this case there are two distinct units in the case - a Player and a Recorder.

You have analog in's and outs that accept standard Line Level RCA patch cords.

Coaxial Digital connectors carry standard digital audio in or out; ditto the Optical connectors.

I imagine that, being a dual deck, it has internal digital routing for copying from the Player to the Recorder.

I also imagine it requires CD-R AUDIO blank media for making recordings; not computer CDR's.

Lost the manual, can't get hooked up

You need to use an audio CDr, data or computer CDr's will not work in this machine. I don't know this specific machine, but usually you select the input, then 'rec type' eg manual,1 track or 1 disc, then press record to get into record pause, start your source, then press play on the unit to start recording. To finalize, you press finalize then either the play or rec button to start the finalize process.

NO RECORD

This message usually indicates that a non-audio disc is in the record tray. Please use only blank music CD-R or CD-RW media. Refer to page 12 of the owners manual for more information regarding acceptable media type for the DA-3826. Also, the laser lens in your CD might be dirty or failing. Try the following solutions: Clean the laser lens with a CD player lense cleaning disc. Lense cleaning discs are available at many electronics retail store. Sorry i can't help you more.
