I own a hotpoint top load washing machine. the washer will fill with water and go to agitate and the timer goes around and around and does not stop. Does not go into rinse at all. Does not drain why?Model number HNSR2120B1ww

if you are saying that the washer finishes the load of clothes and timer goes to off and water is filling the tub after this then you have a bad water valve on the back of the washer.disconnect the water lines and change out the valve

The first thing seems to be the timer,or the water level switch. Try filling the washer with water by hand, if it starts to agitate after being filled its the timer, if not it is the water level switch, let me know if you need further assistance.
