Hello! I've been using my Compaq Presario (M2223AP) Laptop for 2 years now, then all of a sudden I saw 2 vertical lines on the screen. 1 line is a clear red line (but not so thick & dark) located about 1/3 from the left of the screen while the other is a very faint (thin, almost transparent) line located about 1/5 from the right of the screen. I think it might be a monitor problem. I'm not very good in fixing computers so I have not done anything about it yet. I'd appreciate your help very much. Thanks! I had the same problem - sent it in to Acer and they replaced the LCD for 500 bucks!

We have two of these Acer 9500 laptops i our Office. Both are getting a new vertical line every two weeks. Seems to be a design fault as I see others get it too.
No Horizontal lines so cannot place tic-tac-toe!!!
I have the same problem. it's associated with the screen being a little loose on the hinges. If I could tighten the hinges I think it would fix it. I can twist the screen slightly and the lines go away, but when I let go, they return immediately. Gotta Be a problem with the connection through the hinge assembly.
