Youre wireless card could be defective.

You can try unseating the card and reseating it.

To do this make sure the laptop is powered off all the way.
Remove the battery or you can cause other damage.
"Be sure to only touch the edges of the card to avoid Electro Static Discharge"

Close the laptop, turn it over.
There are two removable covers secured by screws.
Under the larger one of them is the wireless card and memory

The wireless card has two antenna wires coming from it a black and white one that just pop on and off.

If you need to you can remove the wires with your fingernail and then pop them back on with a finger.

The card is secured on both sides by a lever. Pressing outward on the levers should release the card allowing you to remove it.

Take it out and wait 10 seconds, then put it back in the way it was reconnecting the wires if they were disconnected.
Put the cover on, put in the battery, plug it in then see if this worked.

If not the pc card needs replacement.

Also make sure the wireless switch is firmly set to the on position and not lodged between on and off somehow.

How to Solution For HP Laptop Not Recognizing Ethernet Cable?

If you've got working Wi-Fi but your wired ethernet connection is not working, the first thing to do is turn off the Wi-Fi. Believe it or not, this might tell you that the ethernet is working. ... Right-click on the icon, go to Open Network and Internet Settings, then the Wi-Fi tab, and toggle off.

How do I get the internet on my smart tv 60DU6030

Hi,

If the TV has wi-fi built in then you can join your wi-fi network by entering the setup on the TV.
If you do not have wi-fi then you would have to run an Ethernet cable from the TV to your internet router.

Is it possible to connect a standard DSL modem - without Wi-Fi (with 1 Ethernet port) and a DSL modem - Wi-Fi (with 4 Ethernet port) to broadcast Wi-Fi singles

Does the non wifi modem give out DHCP addresses?
Can the wifi modem be set up to receive it's IP address from DHCP?
If the answer to both these questions is Yes then that's what to do as a first step. Make sure the wifi modem DHCP service is disabled as it must NOT give out DHCP addresses.
Connect the ethernet port of the non wifi modem to one of the LAN ports of the wifi modem and NOT the DSL/WAN port. The wifi modem is not participating in any DSL connectivity at all so it's DSL light will remain off. The non wifi modem is doing the DSL duty so it's DSL light should be correctly illuminated.

I have T-Mobile 4g galaxy avant android phone. I do not have coverage n my ares 4 the Internet. Cam I hook WI-FI up 2 my desk top and accessories the inn tenet via my home wi-fi

You can get WI-FI anywhere WI-FI is available with a smart phone.
But if you only have a modem at home and an ethernet cable from the modem to your computer to get internet, then you may not have WI-FI at home.
You'll need to get a wireless router to have WI-FI at home.
Once you do that, you can continue to have your desktop hooked up by the ethernet cable, but you can also install a WI-FI adapter card in your desktop. It will have an antenna on the back of your computer and then you can set it up anywhere in your house and have internet without an ethernet cable.

The router is blinking a yellow light

Here are some of the more common reasons that the status light may blink amber:
  • The Wi-Fi base station has not yet been configured because it is new.
  • The Wi-Fi base station has been reset.
  • A new firmware update is available for the Wi-Fi base station.
  • No IP address is available for the Wi-Fi base station.
  • A Wi-Fi base station in Extended Mode is out-of-network Wi-Fi range of a primary Wi-Fi base station.
  • The WAN Ethernet cable is unplugged from the Wi-Fi base station.
  • The Wi-Fi base station lacks a path to the Internet (or local router).
  • Internet access may be temporarily unavailable from your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  • Your AirPort Time Capsule has detected that the internal hard drive has reported a SMART error, and is failing (This requires firmware 7.5.2, and AirPort Utility 5.5.2).
