First turn the volume all the up on the box, if that does not fix it you need new speakers.

Something has shorted in the set causing the power supply to make that buzzing sound. Most likely the short is in the horizontal circuit. The horizontal makes the high voltage work which in turn lights the picture tube.

try replacing av cords..if not replace tv

A shorted horizontal output transistor or shorted flyback. If the flyback is shorted replace also its HOT.

I am about to post a in depth guide about how to fix this problem. It's because a capacitor inside the TV has blown which causes the buzzing high pitched noise. It's really easy to fix however and only costs about £1 / $2 to sort out.

Bad horizontal driver or output transistor/trnsformer. Look for serious service for this set...accordianman

I think you have a bad flyback transformer and shorted horizontal output transistor. The flyback (high voltage) transformer shorted and caused the transistor to short. You need to get a tech to check it for you and get an estimate. The noise you hear is the power supply singing telling you that it has a short on it's load. Stargazer

The tv has a shorted component and that is why is making the noise,call a qualified technician to find it and dont try to use it anymore.Is not a fuse.
