When I insert a new, completely full container of the cleaning fluid into the cleaning device/stand/charger, a lot of the fluid spills out during the cleaning process and ends up on our counter top. After 1 or 2 cleaning cycles, the fluid level drops and the leaking stops. What causes the leaking, how can I get it to stop, and, if there is something wrong with the cleaner, can it be repaired and where?

SOURCE: I have a Braun razor,

Try removing the cord from the clean/charge base and plug the cord directly into the bottom of the shaver. If it charges directly from the cord, it is a safe assumption that the clean/charge base is not working correctly.
This unit is not repairable as the problem is, almost certainly, a faulty circuit board. You will need to purchase a replacement.
You will find a replacement clean/charge base for model 8585 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

SOURCE: Braun Clean and Renew not working

I took the file on a nail clipper and turned the impeller inside the unit. Remove the cleaning fluid from the unit. Turn the unit upside down, On the part that sticks into the large hole of the fluid reservoir you'll see the impeller. Just turn it it enough to dislodge any whiskers and try it again. Worked for me. Good luck

I NEED TO BLEED THE CLUTCH ON MY 2001 SUZUKI 1400 MOTORCYCLE

Easy job, thing to remember is not to let the fluid level to become to low, as air will enter the system, then things become more difficult, use a length of tube correct diamiter to fit tightly over the bleed nipple on the clutch slave cylinder, left hand side engine, protect the paintwork by placing a cloth around the nipple, place tube in container containing a small amount of fluid, this will omit air entering the system while the nipple is open, now undo the cap on the master cylinder, set the lever at number1 to give full movment of the cylinder, at this time it makes sense to replace all the fluid in this system, rember do not allow the fluid to run out completly, open the nipple, gently pull in the lever the fluid will be pumped out with this action, hold the lever in and dont let go until you have closed off the nipple, repeat this action untill all the fluid has been changed, thus omiting any air from the system your. System has now been bled.
Pull lever in nipple open, close nipple release lever, repeat over and over, untill finished tighten nipple clean away any spilled fluid rite away, hope this helps. Paul

The screen on my Phaser 6110 MFP says "Remove/Install Waste toner tank." I don't know what that is.

The life of the waste toner container unit is approximately 1,250 pages

for full color 5% image printing or 5,000 images for black printing. When

the life span of the waste toner container has expired, Replace/Install

Waste Toner Tank appears on the display of the control panel,

indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Otherwise

your printer stops printing.

To replace the waste toner container:

1 Turn the machine off, then wait a few minutes for the machine to

cool.

2 Open the front cover.

3 Pull the waste toner container out of the machine using its handle.

4 Remove the container's cap from the container as shown below,

and use it to close the waste toner container opening.

5 Take a new waste toner container out of its package.

Tip

Make sure that you lay the waste toner container on a flat

surface so that the toner does not spill.

Caution

Do not tilt or turn the tank over.

6 Insert the new container into position and then push it to make sure

that it is firmly seated in place.

7 Close the front cover firmly.

8 Turn the machine on.

Caution

If the front cover is not completely closed, the machine will not

operate.

Tip

After rebooting, your machine will automatically reset the
counter for the waste toner container

Is there a special way to bleed the brake system on a 2001 catera

  1. Place a clean shop cloth beneath the brake master cylinder to prevent brake fluid spills.
  2. With the ignition OFF and the brakes cool, apply the brakes 3-5 times, or until the brake pedal effort increases significantly, in order to deplete the brake booster power reserve.

Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir with DOT-3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Ensure that the brake master cylinder reservoir remains at least half-full during this bleeding procedure. Add fluid as needed to maintain the proper level. Clean the outside of the reservoir on and around the reservoir cap prior to removing the cap and diaphragm.
  1. Install a proper box-end wrench onto the RIGHT REAR wheel hydraulic circuit bleeder valve.
  2. Install a transparent hose over the end of the bleeder valve.
  3. Submerge the open end of the transparent hose into a transparent container partially filled DOT-3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container.
  4. Have an assistant slowly depress the brake pedal fully and maintain steady pressure on the pedal.
  5. Loosen the bleeder valve to purge air from the wheel hydraulic circuit.
  6. Tighten the bleeder valve, then have the assistant slowly release the brake pedal.
  7. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat these steps until all air is purged from the same wheel hydraulic circuit.
  8. Repeat this procedure with the LEFT FRONT, then LEFT REAR and finally the RIGHT FRONT.
  9. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-fill level with DOT-3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container.
  10. Slowly depress and release the brake pedal. Observe the feel of the brake pedal.

How do you "bleed" the rear breaks? on a bandit 600? can anyone help?

Brake fluid will eat away at plastic and paint!
Wipe any spilled fluid with the rag and lots of water.

Tools needed:

Wrench/Spanner (average 10mm)
Brake bleeding kit (rubber fitting, clear hose, small container)
Brake fluid overflow container (to put the brake bleeding kit small container in)
Rags
Brake Fluid

Attach the brake bleeding kit to the brake fluid nipple located on the brake caliper.

Loosen the nipple so the fluid is free to flow down the brake bleeding kit tube and into the small container

Remove the master cylinder cap (top) so you can monitor and refill more brake fluid into the master cylinder as you bleed the brakes.

Pump the brake lever so the old/new brake fluid is forced through the tube into the brake bleeding kit fluid container

Keep the volume of the master cylinder constant (near full) as to not have it empty. Keep pumping on the brake lever until the fluid coming out is clear (rather than the old brown/black colour).

Once all the tiny air bubbles are gone hold pressure on the brake level and re-tighten the brake fluid nipple to close it off.

Replace the master cylinder top cover.

Remove the brake bleeding kit from the caliper and use the rag and water to clean up any spillage.

Alternately, you can pump the pedal once, open the bleeder then shut it, pump the pedal again, open the bleeder and shut it and continue (adding as necessary) until the fluid is clear.

The advantage to doing it this way is much less pumping to get the air out of the lines you created when you first started on the first method.

Red descale light is on

I use distilled white vinegar, but you can use specialized coffee cleaners with this model:

Descaling
Descaling 11
Descale your Tassimo machine every three months to keep it
operating at full potential.
1
Descaling products are widely available from stores selling coffeemakers and espresso
machines. Only use a product intended for descaling. Mix the descaling product
directly in the water container, following the instructions provided on the descaling
packaging. Replace the water container on the machine.
2 Place a large cup or mug on the cup stand, insert the cleaning disc, bar code down,
and close the brew mechanism. When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release
the start/stop button. The brew cycle will fill the machine with descaling solution. Empty
the cup and let the machine stand for 15 minutes.
3 Open the brew mechanism and close it again, leaving the cleaning disc in place.
When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release the start/stop button. When the
machine stops running, empty the cup, and let the machine stand for 15 minutes.
Repeat this step two more times for maximum descaling effectiveness. Discard the
remaining descaling agent from the water container, rinse it thoroughly and refill
with fresh, cold water.
4 Open and close the brew mechanism again, leaving the cleaning disc in place.
When the AUTO light illuminates, press and hold the start/stop button to flush water
through the machine. The MANUAL light will flash. When the cup is full, release the
start/stop button, empty the cup, and replace it on the cup stand.
5 Repeat step 4, flushing clean water through the machine in the same manner and
emptying the cup as it fills. To ensure that all the descaling solution is completely rinsed
away, flush two full water containers through the machine before using it again.

Black ink not printing

Having had the same problem on my 425cn Brother with the black ink, I'm told that the solution is hot water. I goes something like this: remove cartridge, place in container with hot water for a while, remove allow to dry completely, replace, perform clean cycle and print test page. Apparently it's imperative to dry completely and stand cartridge upright. The warm water thins the ink, and remove (apparently) blockages. I cannot verify that this works, but will try it this weekend and let you know! If the housing that the ink cartridge can be readily removed, take that out and clean in warm water. Again dry very well before returning. Be care full that ink becomes runny and may leak out of cartridge and make a mess - so work carefully.
