have you tried formatting using ms-dos?it works many a times when windows format shows an error...the command is
format x: /fs:fat32
where x: is yout tsonic...
If that doesnt work,try this
1.download the appropriate firmware from here2.press and hold reset button for 2 seconds 3.run the firmware updater 4.press and hold "play" button while connecting to system.5.the updater will detect the player and it will upgrade the firmware.

if that fails, Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off,hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
