Hi there,
Have you finish the tutorials on my moon?
Look in the last page of the tools bag. Is the top option set to "Competitive"? If so, This SHOULD be happening. Set it to "Copritive".

Simply use an emitter to spawn a new checkpoint and use a destroyer to get rid of the old one.

On the spawned checkpoint, put a tag sensor connected to a destroyer and put the tag on a microchip that you activate later.

ADDITION: if you use a tag sensor and invert the output (or perhaps a toggle when i think about it) and connect it to the spawned checkpoint it will automatically activate it when it spawns.

My playstation 3 system keeps trying to read the disk but does not show the icon i have tried restoring the system cleaning the lens with a cd lens cleaner please help

I am assuming you are saying that either your PS3 is unable to read the disk when you pop it into the console, or it's constantly reading it while you are playing the game. If neither of these resemble what is happening, press and hold the power button on your PS3 for about ten seconds. When it beeps a couple of times, release it.
First off, restoring the PS3 and reformatting the Hard Drive are two different things. If restoring the PS3 didn't work, you can always try reformatting. You will lose all your saved states but it could fix your problem.
If it's just trying to read your disk when you're playing a game, this is common. You'll likely see the HDD indicator lighting up several times while you are playing a game. The days of looking for a save point are over. Your game will always be sending information to the HDD when you pass certain checkpoints or areas of interest so that should you get a Game Over, you can resume from the last checkpoint.

Beyond that, I would call SCEA (1-800-345-7669) as it could be a defected piece of hardware. Maybe you covered the air vents with something and it got too hot.

Another player asked to join my game while i was in my pod, when i agreed they entered and took control of the game leaving my controller useless. Fearing a hacker i quit the game and doing this made the...

They can't ask you to join your game, they ask you to join their game. When you say YES, once the level is complete or they choose to exit, you return to their pod and they do have total control because they are the host of your online session. Don't worry, you're not being hacked or anything, it's just hosting privledges. Fun game and it's even better online.

I take people to ledges by dragging them and then smack them off (Hold in L2 and R2 together and wiggle your joysticks). Get ready for LBP2!

Have fun!
