The DMP-BD55 does not support a wireless internet option. However, you can connect it to a wired port on your router (or a wired switch that connects to your router).

The manual for the DMP-BD55 is available here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMPBD35-MUL.PDF .

I hope this helps.

Can't connect my blu=ray dvd to my wireless internet

Please clarify your model number. If you have the DMP-BD60, it only has wired networking capabilities. A USB wi-fi dongle will not work (the USB port is only for storage devices). If you are connecting it to a wired port on a wireless bridge (switch) or directly to your wireless router and having trouble with the connection, check your cables and that your network is up. Next check that you have not restricted the number of devices allowed to connect to the router. There are ways to limit the number of IP addresses in the router setup. If you allowed 4 addresses and the blu-ray player will be number 5, you need to adjust the settings for your router.

Please add a comment with the model number if you are using a different blu-ray player. I hope this helps.

I loast connection to my wireless router. How do I reset the connnection.

Check your router to make sure it's broadcasting a wireless signal. If it's not, then reset it by unplugging it for 5 seconds before plugging it back in. There should be a light that comes on that indicates wifi is enabled. If that doesn't work then check your router's wireless settings. If it's not the router, then check the wireless settings on your blu-ray player

I recently bought a Panasonic DMP BD85 Blueray player. I have been trying all afternoon to connect it to my home wireless network and am about to pull my hair out. All of the network indicators say that I...

I pulled up the specifications for the bd85 Blu-ray player. It says below that it has an rj-45 network connection. That means, although it says that it is WiFi ready, that it requires an additional WiFi Adapter of some sort to operate with Wifi. Or you could connect it directly to your router or switch using rj-45 cable.

Using NAD t743 with Panasonic DMP-BD55

The reciever you have has 5.1 inputs at the backof it.The only way to get Dolby True HD and DTS HD is to run the 7.1 analog out from the bd55 to the nad. You'll have to leave the 2 rear surround open on the bd55 leaving the remaining 6 connected to the nad. The digital coax and the optical will not transmit the hd data, only the analog out will. Run a hdmi right to your HD tv for picture bypassing your amp. this will workfine and you'll have the audio you want. You,ll have to change the input settings for dvd in your amp to 5.1 to recieve the audio.
