Error code :E-01
Problem and solution: Turn your Epson printer off, make sure no paper is jammed inside, and turn it back on.
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS FOR PAPER JAM:
Paper Jams If paper jams, follow these steps: 1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output tray or sheet feeder. 2. If paper is stuck inside, turn off your Epson printer. 3. Lift the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, lower the scanner, and turn the printer back on. Note:
Your printer model may vary from the ones shown in this section, but the procedures are the same. i am getting error E-01 and it keeps getting paper - problems.16.10.2.jpgmages/problems.16.10.2.jpg" alt="problems.16.10.2.jpg" class="h_mi" />

check this out....when the printer reports the jam, open the paper tray very carefully and slowly.
Has the paper moved at all forward? Has it moved like 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch out of the tray?
If so, you probabaly need a torque limiter, no tools, $10 or so and a very very easy fix.
POBCM is very correct when he points out that the block/stop in the back of the tray moves when the tray is closed with too much force and this is the #1 cause most of the time.
You may see a "41.3" code displayed if the block is not up to the back of the paper and the paper is not all the way forward in the trays, and under the two metal clips at the front of the tray.

In addition to this, the so called encoder strip may be dirty and needs cleaning. The encoder strip has many tiny lines on it, that the carriage sensor counts to determine its location in the printer environment. If this strip gets dirty, the carriage sensor will read several lines as one and in the end it will try to go past the carriage path; when obstructed it perceives this as a paper jam.
The encoder strip is located just behind the slider rod, the shiny rod that guides the carriage back and forth. The encoder strip should be cleaned with a lint-free cloth wetted with clean and luke-warm water (no water allowed to drip into the printer!). Be careful not to pull hard on the encder strip, it can VERY easilly break or jump off its attachment points!
First gently slide the carriage over to the left and clean the right part of the encoder strip, then slide the carriage over to the right and continue with the left side of the strip. Note: Always clean FROM the right side to the left, since the strip is attached to a hardpoint on the right side of the printer and to a leaf spring on the left side. According to Murphy's Law, pulling on the leaf spring WILL make the encoder strip jump off the hardpoint hook on the right side, causing a mess to get it back! (not supported...)
But in many cases this solves the 86.01 error message, hope it does this time as well.

SOURCE: 202.01 and 202.03 Paper Jam
The 202.03 error code has to do with an early life failure of the fuser. Try replacing the fuser. If that doesn't work, a tech is needed to replace rear door. Don't forget to reset maintenance counts when you replace fuser!!
